We were working in Franklin Township, New Jersey and we asked our awesome customer where is a good local and non-chain place to eat. He immediately recommended Marinelli's Pizza and Italian Restaurant and which was less than 1.5 miles away. Marinelli's Pizza and Italian Restaurant is a simple, casual, and cozy eatery with great food and beverages. They have a huge menu that has something for everyone. You can have a delicious and fabulous meal coupled with warm, friendly, and attentive customer service. The establishment is definitely a popular place with the locals and it is definitely a refreshing change from the chains! It can get very busy in there and so arrive early and you won't be disappointed!
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the host. She was very friendly, pleasant, professional, and had a genuine smile. It was a Sunday around 01:30 PM and we were immediately seated, provided with menus and our beverage order taken. Emma was our server and she smiled, welcomed us, and immediately introduced herself. My wife and I were fine with water, no ice, and lemon. We told her that our customer had recommended the restaurant. I asked her for her personal recommendations and favorites. She directed us to great entrees that you typically cannot get elsewhere.
For my entree, I had the Chicken Kristine and my wife decided on the Chicken Giovanni. Emma immediately brought out fresh baked bread and butter. Everything was absolutely delicious and both meals were prepared, portioned, cooked to perfection, and were served hot. Emma was very attentive, friendly, efficient, and happy to help! In short, the fabulous food and awesome customer service made for a great dinning experience! Best of all, Vito, the owner really made us feel like family when he provided us with a bottle of red wine as a gift when we grabbed our amazing looking Grandpa Pie to go upon our departure. We had two slices of the Grandpa Pie the following morning for breakfast. The pizza was absolutely delicious and very unique! We will definitely be returning here when we are in the Franklin Township area to try some of their other phenomenal entrees...
Read moreI've had the privilege of knowing Vito and his phenomenal Italian restaurant, Marinelli’s, for over 15 years — and let me tell you, they just keep getting better.
This past weekend, we hosted our annual summer work party and entrusted Marinelli’s with the catering. Simply put: WOW. From the moment the food arrived to the last guest’s smile, the entire experience was nothing short of perfection.
The shrimp parm was to die for — rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The spring rolls were an unexpected star of the show — light, crispy, and a HUGE hit with everyone. And the chicken francaise? Absolutely mouthwatering. Every bite was a reminder of why Marinelli’s is in a league of its own.
A special shoutout to Nikki, our server for the event, who was an absolute gem — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She greeted every guest like family. And of course, Vito (as always) went above and beyond — from customizing the menu to answering every question with care and enthusiasm.
What truly sets Marinelli’s apart isn’t just the incredible food — it’s the people. Vito and his team make you feel like you’re their only customer, every single time. That level of hospitality is rare, and it's what keeps me coming back year after year.
If you're anywhere near Flemington and looking for authentic, unforgettable Italian cuisine — whether dining in or catering — Marinelli’s is the only name you need to know.
I'll absolutely be using them for all my future events. Grazie, Vito & team — you’ve outdone...
Read moreI need a sixth star for the rating. We just came to the area a few months ago and have dined at a about a dozen places so far and this is by far our favorite restaurant. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the food is just plain delicious. An added bonus is that the staff are attentive, courteous & efficient. The owners (Vito & Kristine) came by our table and, in addition to being passionate about their work, may be two of the nicest people we've met yet. For appetizers (which we highly recommend) we had the Portabello Mushroom Flatbread & the Mussels in Spicy Marinara (apologies for the picture below - didn't think to take it before my father vigorously dug in). After that four of us split the Chicken Kristine, Caitlin and Giovanni entrees and long story short all three were delicious - and again portions so generous that we took some of each home. If you haven't tried this place it's definitely worth the trip. We'll be back! An update as been a while since earlier post - ...and we have been back almost weekly now for months. It is worth the trip each time as not only are the regular menu items great but the specials change just about daily and Vito is a culinary scientist. Just plain amazing each meal we've tried. And as for the service ... we can not say enough about how professional & personable Ashley and Adrianna are. Every visit has...
