I checked out the menu online ahead of time, hoping to decide what I wanted before arriving. As someone visiting but familiar with the area, it was interesting to see this old building repurposed for a new restaurant.
I chose this spot because I eat gluten-free and it seemed safe enough based on the menu options. I ordered the rolled tacos to go. I appreciated that they weren’t greasy, but unfortunately, that was the only standout. The meat was dry, and for an order of 12, there was hardly any cheese. It came with hot sauce, but no sour cream or other sides. I’ll take some responsibility for assuming it would be like places back in Utah, where those extras are typically included without needing to ask.
The rice had decent texture but was on the dry side and lacked much flavor. After adding a bit of water while reheating, it was fine, but still nothing special.
I was glad I chose takeout because the smell of cleaning products inside was extremely strong. Even though I have a lung sensitivity, that is beside the point, it was hard to sit and wait in that environment comfortably. We all know it was too windy to sit outside and know when the order was ready.
I wouldn't return, but I know some of my local friends enjoy this spot, and it seems to have good support from the...
Read moreAfter a long 11 hour drive, had tiostop in Rawlins for the night at a local hotel. we needed food badly, and two other places already said they weren’t taking pickup food orders. Saw that this place only had 3 reviews, and they were all 5 stars. My sis was skeptical, and I just shrug my shoulders, and she orders. To the owners, please accept our apologies. Y’all were soooo good!
Pleasantly surprised by how affordable this place is! Most entrees are under $15, and the portion sizes are generous. The bread used for the tortas was surprisingly warm and fluffy, definitely not expecting that for takeout. Everything was well cooked and the food filled us up. This is authentic northern cuisine. In my head I was expecting the worst from Los Jilibertos, but thankfully there was no dick...
Read moreI wasn’t impressed at all. A ten dollar chicken burrito has only water soaked bland chicken in it. No rice, cheese, beans or anything. I asked for a side of refried beans and I guess they only have a family sized side for five bucks. I can’t really eat a pint of beans. The man taking my order was not helpful at all. He seemed a little short with me. Like he was annoyed I was there. The salsa bar was again little to be desired. I would recommend going somewhere else. I paid 20 dollars for a small drink, bland burrito, and enough refried beans to...
