Went with 3 other people so it was 4 of us. We wanted to get a booth and there were plenty of tables open due to this being a smaller restaurant. She very rudely told us we HAD to sit at a table. 2 of us out of the group had ordered fried ice cream simply because we already ate and wanted something sweet, we’ve done it on many occasions before. however this time the assistant manager (or whatever she is) told us if we didn’t buy any ACTUAL food, that we’d be charged for chips and salsa. When I told her this hasn’t been a problem before (we did purchase something off of the menu, the icecream) because me and my friends come to the restaurant very often, she shrugged and said her manager had told her that as a rule and when we asked to speak to them she said they weren’t there. I’ve never in my life been charged for chips and salsa at any Mexican restaurant , and she rudely decided to say something last minute as we ate the food, and complained about us while we were seated. my usual spending of 5 dollars had now turned into $8 dollars. very greedy worker and extremely rude. an experience me and my friends used to enjoy is now one that we will not be returning to. They need to do something about ‘anuskia’ before she makes them lose more customers. Her customer service and...
Read moreGreetings. Please take this review as somewhat outdated but duly necessary. I am grateful to the kind experience and loving community I had the great privilege of witnessing on February 2021. The food was great. Very hot. I was amazed at how the plate was when I was cautioned to not touch it while observing the woman who hand delivered it without problem. This was a great visit from my trip from New Orleans, LA after barely passing a work-mandated certification exam. If you are not from Jackson, MS, let it be cordially noted this place is a lovely "small town" of good people. To the kind maiden who served my order and the selfless team who made this experience possible, thank you. May God's grace and peace be upon you all and your loved ones. To God be all the glory....
Read moreThe refried beans and rice were wonderful. We were a party of five and were seated immediately. I had Seafood Fajitas as did our friends. My husband had the Chili Relenos which he didn't care for. The Seafood in the Fajitas were perfectly cooked and tender. Next time I go I will probably have the chicken and shrimp fajitas because the seafood was so rich. Service was really good. Our friends live in Utica and eat there often. The best part of this was visiting with friends. I also loved my side plate. This had my beans and the toppings for my fajitas. The guacamole was outstanding and plentiful. I had a large dollop of sour cream. The Pico de Gallo was not enough for my fajitas. I am sure they would have brought me more but I didn't...
