Mangia Bella Pizza — Restaurant in Readington Township

I haven't been able to stop by this pizzeria for years since not working in the area anymore. I was driving by on 22 last week, and once I got home I thought darn I should have stopped by. So I made a point to grab a pie during my trip into Bridgewater this week. I couldn't be happier! The gentleman (maybe owner?) at the front was very pleasant. I ordered a large pie with half pepperoni to go. I should have ordered a slice to sit down while I waited, only because with my long drive home it wasn't hot once I returned. (I live almost 40 min away) However, even warm, the pie was amazing. The cheesiness was perfect and I like the mild tang of the sauce. The smaller pepperoni slices aren't quite what I'm used to, but they were absolutely delicious. The dough was flavorful, the perfect amount of salt. I feel these folks truly care about the product they're putting out. I've been following them on Facebook for the years I haven't been around and I'm sad I wasn't able to support them during covid. It's a small place, the interior is very inviting and the atmosphere reminded me of everything I love about a local pizza place. I urge any passersby to give it a try. Drunky Grandma/drunken nonna is one of my favorites from spots close to me and I can't wait to go back to mangia bella and try theirs instead. I feel their per slice was limited, but that's ok. They're not wasting product putting out 20 pizzas per day on the counter for slice sales. If you don't see something you like, order a whole pie. I promise it's worth it. Their prices are comparable to any other pizza place in the area but I felt more at home...

I called this pizza place that I used to live close to and love. I call there at 8:23pm on a Friday and they ignored my phone call 3 times. On the 4th time someone answered and said sorry were closed already. I asked why online it says 9pm and on the voicemail I heard when I had just called. He didn’t have an answer. But I asked nicely if he could just do me a favor and I could be right there and just wanted a plain pie. He said sorry our ovens off. Well a Friday night, a pizzeria thats closed at (8:30pm) or 9pm??? but really secretly closes at god knows what time since at 8:23pn when I call they intentionally ignored my call all just to tell me they were closed. Bad business right there because It was just 8:28 by the time I finally got through to him. Which means that if the ovens are off then, then they most likely have been off for quite a while now. Well I won’t be retuning here to spend my heard earned money. Especially a small local owned business that could use any $ money right now, I’m sure. Especially if you are closing before ur 9pm or 8:30pm??? times!!!! Change your voicemail!!!! But as many people have told me they aren’t such nice people there and I’ve sat there sticking up and defending them because they were always nice to me. So good luck if u order here. First, when ordering it said that it came with salad but when we picked it up I was told that it doesn’t come with salad anymore. When I got home we found out that they gave us red sauce instead of white. We were told it didn’t say what color on the order. I explained under description it said white. I was told we were out of clams. Whatever man we spoke to was very, very rude!! After we said that we won’t be back, he then said he would mark us something else. I said then I would have to let the other food get cold to come and get it. He offered no other resolution and was nasty. I said I will be sure to give a review and he said you do that and hung up the phone!! My response to you. No one hung up on a 16 year old!! You were talking loudly to her on what to say then YOU got on the phone. We felt bad for her the way you were talking to her! As for the delivery, I said since you don’t deliver, we would have to let our other food get cold to come back and get a new order. The reason the sauce made a difference as I told you was because it was someone who just got released from the hospital and couldn’t have it. After getting a bad diagnosis and getting out all she wanted was clam sauce. So not only did all that happen but you are also a LIAR!! You NEVER offered and refund or even a credit!!
