Definitely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ dining. We selected the buffet - “Perch on the Porch.” Which was so much more than perch. Our meal exceeded our expectations. The buffet included cream of mushroom soup, salad with home made balsamic or ranch dressing, steamed zucchini and squash, short grained white rice with carrots. The 3 entrees were pan fried Chicken topped with creamy morel sauce, walleye Grenoble- white wine butter Lemon caper, pan fried perch. Finished with tres leche, eclairs, coconut chocolate chip bites. The entire buffet was superb - from start to finish. If I had to pick my favorite it would be difficult because it was all so flavorful and savvy. Stop in and enjoy a delicious dinner. Plenty of parking. Reservations would be required. We will definitely be returning.

First time customers... We were there for the perch Friday dinner. Just about everything we was fabulous! (Coleslaw was just ok and lemon meringue was store bought) Now, from the Cuban bean soup (with chef Paul Prudhommes sausage) to their maple syrup vinaigrette (salads) to very flavorful pulled pork to the perch (was extremely tasty) It's in the middle of nowhere, but people have been coming here for years because of the food, staff and service.

The Crow’s Nest is a true gem. The fish was delicious and full of fresh, vibrant flavor. Amazing staff, Billy killed it. Very attentive and friendly service. The warm, inviting atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it an ideal spot for everything from casual meals to special occasions. If you are in the area step in for a true experience that I would say is harder and harder to come by.

I'm sorry to say (don't like giving bad reviews), but this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in some time. We read a review that raved about their Perch (apparently all you can eat on Tuesdays). Well, we went on a Saturday. We were sat at a table and the waitress was nice, however apparently a bit clueless. We got a basket of the plastic wrapped bread sticks, and some spiced butter...it was 'ok'. We ordered 1 kids hamburger for $4.50, along with our meals. It was burnt on the outside, and almost raw on the inside, even the waitress noticed this...so HOW do you do that? Had to be a frozen burger is my guess? Then I asked for hot tea. I got a lukewarm small pot of hot water soaking wet with a napkin below it dripping off the plate. Later in the meal, the waitress said 'that water was a bit cold, eh?'..um YEAH! It wasn't steaming at all! So, she proceeded to bring back more water warning "careful, its very hot"...it wasn't...at all! In fact, I put my hands around the metal teapot just to get warm..still not CLOSE to hot enough to brew/make tea. But that's not the worst of it. Then comes the plate of perch, mind you it was $27 dollars a plate!!!! NO KIDDING! What did we get? We got 4-5 small pieces of deep fried perch and the batter reminded me of something out of a box, loaded with oil. A few pieces of spiced potato (seriously, like maybe 2 very small golden potatoes worth) and of all things STEAMED BEETS!??! This was a catastrophe, it looked and tasted horrible. There was a TINY cup of potato soup included, and I have to say the soup was excellent! We wish we had just ordered just the $4.50 bowls of soup! I've gotten much better (quantity and quality) fish meals from our local diner for $8-9 dollars. In my opinion, this was next to highway robbery. We walked out with almost a $68 bill for 2 terrible plates of perch, a raw kids cheeseburger, Iced tea and 'hot' tea, no drinks, nothing extra. How can you not even know how to make hot water? Rare that I would give someplace a 0 star, but at the price of this meal, that's what it deserves. Had I paid 16-18 bucks ($8-$9/plate), I would have given it one star..but this was a $27 plate of food!!! Horrible combination of items, horrible preparation/taste, and it wasn't even hot when it hit the table...we will never be back. The tiny cup of potato soup was very good, the rest...

We spent the day in Mackinaw Island. Rather than get dinner in the area we opted to try the Crow's Nest, it was about 17 minutes from where we were staying and we really wanted to eat local. We regretted a great deal. Because after all was said and done the food was not even edible and we had to get in the car and drive somewhere else anyway. We ordered our food at 5:00 and it's just 7:15 and we're finishing our dinner somewhere else.

Today, 09/29 We ordered our food right at 5:00 p.m. for carry out. We ordered the chicken salad entre, the ribs entre, and the morel mushrooms appetizer. Every one of them horrible.

The Chicken Salad, was basically a house salad with incredibly horribly dry chicken. It was so bad we tried to wash it off and our dog didn't even eat it. I am being absolutely serious. There were no walnuts or cranberries it was simply lettuce a couple carrots and chicken.

The ribs are not even close to being fall off the bone. I was able to get some meat off of it but we opted to just simply wash off the meat and give it to the dog. Most of the meat was so dry on the ends of the bone. There was one really good fatty section though that tasted good I think.

The morel mushrooms were okay but they were missing the all important aioli sauce. I can't believe I paid $21 for this.

All in all our bill was $79. I have posted over 600 reviews from all over the country from our travels with TripAdvisor and Backpacker magazine. This was the worst meal I have ever had.

I called and spoke to someone, they we're very nice they just didn't know what to say.

It's not so much the food that's the issue, it's the fact that we have three nights here. And we wasted three and a half hours just trying to get something to eat.

I'm sure the food here is good for the most part. The menu looked amazing. But the overall experience was horrible. There was no way we were going to drive back to have them fix the problem. Missing things on a dish is no big deal, but if you can't eat three different meals because of the quality that's a problem.

The biggest problem is this is a night of vacation we...

Crow’s Nest recently did the catering for my wedding, and Shana did the coordinating. They were incredible from the very start. They answered emails promptly, phone calls were awesome, and they were super easy to contact for the year we were planning. Our tasting was awesome, the restaurant was so nice and the atmosphere was great. The food was immaculate, we raved to everyone about it before the wedding. I don’t usually love all fried fish but their perch especially is just so good. The food and service on the wedding day was phenomenal. Everyone talked about how great everything tasted and how kind the staff was. They handled dietary restrictions so well. Their hummers are my favorite! The day would not have gone smoothly without Shana. She did rentals for me, planned a timeline, had a bunch of items to use, etc. She was always so wonderful to talk to. She decorated, walked us through rehearsal, walked through everything the day of, kept the day running smoothly, cleaned up, did literally everything we needed. The day would not have gone so well without her, she was integral for the success of the wedding. All in all, I cannot say enough kind and positive things about Crow’s Nest and everything they do. I highly, highly recommend them for anything...
