Felt I was singled out cause I was white and I'm in America. No body actually understands English as my order was confused to them. Three tacos got two. Got over charged for my food over ten dollars and was charged 67+ for two burritos and some small sized nachos. Worse 3$ chicken street tacos I've ever seen and I've grown up in Cali for a while. When asked about the over charges and all they fed me excuses that did not add up, common core math does not work. At this point I'm done going to this place and done with anyone affiliated with them. This is becoming a nonsense across the states. When Americans walk into a restaurant in America we should not be treated like we are the foreigners and the forgien running the business need to comply with laws cause clearly I was just fed false advertising on the menu and got less then I should have expected. Absolutely put me in a bad from from being in a great mood. Bad beef mostly fat, dry chicken and some the sadest nachos I've seen. Looks good on top but inside is empty. Seriously take my advise and just make your own at home and stop helping these people running places like this. It's only a trendy fad located in town. Spend somewhere else with someone who is more happy to be in America then trying to turn it into a country they flee from. I seein a pattern here in NC since I've been out here and it's blowing my mind. Ask yourself why are all the foreigners have businesses and it doesn't look like America? Clear as day something is wrong with this place. Red flags everywhere. Lost my appetite and gained some anger I didn't want. I could have went to a different place and been much happier. The horchata has even gave me a bitter taste in my mouth making my cheeks feel sour. Only buisness this place gets is from trendy far left and their own families. Don't be fooled. Look at the picture. That does not look like 70$ worth of food or work....
Read moreTaquería Leon is a true gem!!!! This cute little restaurant is located on the corner of the main street in Red Springs. Definately check it out of your passing theoigh town. What this little restaurant lacks in size it makes up for in GREAT FOOD. The menu is filled with creative varieties and many options of traditional mexican dishes. There were so many choices i wanted all of them so I asked the waitress to surprise me. What I got was so much more than I expected. The chef crafted me a non-menu meal on the spot consisting of juicy pulled pork in a light molè sauce, with a side of pinto beans, yellow rice, pico de gallo was neatly placed in a mini tortilla bowl and a pealed tomato in the shape of a rose topped it all off..... HOW AMAZING DOES THAT SOUND!?!?!?! CHEF Juan Carlos Contreras Bautista is truely an artist. He took his plates to the next level and our experience was so much better because of him. He personally brought it out and introduced me to a non-alchohlic sangria mixed drink he made in front of me to compliment my meal. The meat was tender and juicy followed by the aroma of smokey and slightly spicey slow cooked concentrated home made style molé. The yellow rice was perfectly combined with pinto beans but the pico de gallo balanced the flavors naturally to give it an authentic mexican meal. The fizzy drink was fun and tasty without being overly sweet. My husband got a huge yummy california burrito. It was a sauted veggie mixture with rice, beans and chicken with a side of guacamole and pico de gallo, drizzled w two sauces. One red and the other a cheesy white sauce. It steamed as he cut into it and before I could ask for a bite he'd devoured it. Definitely go to this hidden gem and ask for the secret dish as the DON BAUTISTA!! I promise it will make your day. It is Located 104 N Main St, Red...
Read moreThis place is one of those hole-in-the-wall gems. We visited here with 2 other couples on the recommendation of one of the couples who'd been here before. What a great time we had! The food was good. They had fresh chips and yummy salsa! The service was friendly, fast, and accurate and you get a lot of food for the price. One of the couples reported that the music being played was coming from the speakers right by our table and was blaringly loud but it was off when we arrived. They must have said something and the staff accommodated them. That shows they do take care of their customers. The server had a lovely presence and warm smile as she looked after us. We were checked on frequently enough that we never wondered where the server was when we needed something and we didn't feel like the flow of the meal or conversation was being interrupted. The dining area is tiny so I'm not sure if they can fit large groups in there but you could probably cater to a large group at another site. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. We had a great time. Hope you...
