Hen House — Restaurant in Redding

It was my friend and I's first time ever being in a bar, we were both 22, and we had a freaking blast. After about 10pm is when the music gets going and you can really dance. We were at the skating rink for her birthday, and we kept dancing to the songs. We found a local to ask if they knew anywhere good in town. They suggested here, and we were NOT disappointed. I wish I lived closer, I'd go way more frequently, even if I wasn't drinking 😊 bartender was super friendly and enviting, being there late there were a couple who had a few too many, but she was quick to put them in their place. The bartender was so incredibly rude. My husband and I set at the bar for 25 minutes without even an acknowledgment of being there. When I raise my hand to ask about getting a drink she, pointing to another person who just walked up and ‘she was here first’! Which was not true. All she had to do was acknowledge us and say I will get to you we are a little busy. But she did not. She was extremely rude. Whoever runs that business should take another look at how it is ran. I grew up on this street and came here as an adult recently while passing through Redding. The staff are friendly, the sand volley ball court is awesome though it was not being used on the night we came. And despite covid, this place was hopping. I took away one star because the crowd wasn't really my style nor were the drink options.
