The Redding Roadhouse — Restaurant in Redding

My husband and I came to the roadhouse tonight for the first time. We had a baby a few months ago and this was only our second time going out to eat for dinner together 😵‍💫 and it’s our wedding anniversary.

We heard they had great wings and good cocktails which sounded like a great way to celebrate and enjoy adult time while Grammy babysat.

We couldn’t have had a better night. The staff were all so friendly, it genuinely seemed like they all enjoyed being there and each others company, just good vibes. Our server, Peter, was exactly the energy we needed for our night out. He gave great suggestions, was able to accommodate any menu swaps, and made us feel like he was really happy we came in!

The buffalo and gold rush wings. SO good. The Yard Bird and Smash Burger. Fantastic. The smash burger might be my favorite overall. The Mac n Cheese side was a Peter recommendation and honestly surprised with how good it was.

We also got the Bavarian pretzel with just salt ( my husband doesn’t like everything seasoning… tragedy I know) but it was SO good and they had no issue with switching the seasoning.

After feeling so full I might burst… we went ahead and got the chocolate bread pudding. Delish.

Cocktails were fabulous and the general ambiance was just cozy and welcoming.

We got married at the Roadhouse and couldn’t have been happier with every piece of the experience. I’ll start by calling out Kristina specifically for all of her hard work leading up to the event. Her diligence was excellent and we felt confident going into our wedding day that all things would be handled. The day of our we decided to make some seating/spacing adjustments and the entire staff was very responsive and made those changes without question. The service turnout the evening was second to none. We started with passed apps and cocktail hour, the flow was well played we had a constant pace of choices, and anything left over was left out for guests to pick at if they chose. The entree’s were well presented and cooked, I had the short ribs that fell apart when I pressed my fork into them, absolutely perfect. My wife’s vegetarian and she had plenty of options to choose from and was able to customize a vegetarian dish with the freshest ingredients, she was extremely happy with her dinner. Lastly, we chose to have desserts/late night apps to wrap up the evening. The sticky toffee pudding was the highlight of the evening for this sweet tooth! From the planning stages to the day of our wedding the people at the Roadhouse helped us create a wonderful day full of happy memories. We highly recommend them for an event or a simple dinner out...

Had a great time! The patio is beautiful on a cooler night. The atmosphere is great.

Food: We ordered wings, but I completely forgot to snap a photo. They were DELISH. We got the ranch dry rub and the Gold Rush wings. Would recommend either! So yummy. Ordered the Asian chicken salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly. So moist and not overdone. The salad had enough dressing for flavor and wasn’t soggy. Fresh. Light. Delicious. My boyfriend got the Alfredo. Fair warning - it’s got some heat. It’s not spicy per say, but the pepper flavor is vibrant and unforgettable. This is not for the weak stomach and is definitely not the cheesy, light alfredo that would be expected. Still very delicious!

Drinks: I ordered the ship wrecked (pictured). YUM. If you are a rum drinker, definitely recommend. It made me reminisce of a tropical vacation. My boyfriend got a mango sour from Space Cat Brewery. Redding Roadhouse is always known for having a great variety of beers and sours!

The only thing that I could say could be better is the service. The serving staff is definitely young and could benefit from some training. We ordered wings and were not brought plates, napkins, or silverware. We also had to ask for water and in summer water should be essential.
