Duffy's Riverside Saloon — Restaurant in Redwood Falls

We were in town for a friend's surprise Birthday Party. yet we needed to eat dinner first. So prior to leaving the Twin Cities for the weekend I did some internet "homework" creating a small list of places to have a sit down meal with a drink. Duffy's was in our Top 2. The first place struck out because they didn't open until 5pm and required reservations - So, off to Duffy's we went!

We were one of the first couple's to walk through the door. What a great place! Definitely a hunter or fisherman's dream "lodge" style restaurant. Lots of animal & fish mounts on the wall along with some small birch frames that had humorous little sayings. It is a little outdated with the furniture but very comfortable.

Our server was friendly, courteous, listing off the specials and giving us time to look over the menu. We went for the Prime Rib Dinner (King Size) for $24.99. Choice of potato and cooked carrots. Honestly, I would have preferred a salad but that wasn't included with the meal. I will say the Prime was cut perfectly, just the way we ordered them - Medium Rare to Rare. The seasoning was simple and satisfying for that big piece of beef. I had to take half my food home! It was delicious! It went well with our craft brews. Again, our server was a delight, I couldn't have asked for better. after we received our dinners the place started to really fill up. I wish I would have taken more photos, maybe next time. If and when I get out that way again, I'll be sure to stop back . Preferably when it's warmer, then I can sit on the patio!!

My family and I stopped in on Sat evening to eat on our way back to St. Joseph MN from a trip to Spencer IA for a funeral. My daughter looked up places to eat in Redwood Falls as I was driving, and picked Duffy's. I was impressed immediately walking in the door at the awesome decor and good-time humor all around. My initial reaction looking at the menu was the items were a bit pricey. But, our food was absolutely awesome! I had a grilled chicken Philly Cheesesteak, my wife the sirloin tips appetizer, and my son and daughter both ordered the basic cheeseburger. I think it may have been one of the best sandwiches I ever had, and my wife said the sirloin tips were very good and tender. My son said it was the juiciest, best tasting cheeseburger he has ever had!! PLUS, our waitress was sooooo friendly and cheerful and had such a great wit and personality. And, not fake at all like she was just trying to put on a show for a good tip - she seemed very sincere in her attention to us and like she really enjoyed her job! She was on the ball the whole time with refills and checking in on us. The best server I think we have ever had dining out!!! I did not get her name, but I did tell her how great of a job she did as we were leaving. I would highly recommend Duffy's in Redwood Falls to anyone passing through the area. We went for lunch here on a Wednesday with my Grandma who's in her mid 90's and my Dad.

Service was wonderful and fast from start to finish. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had a philly cheese steak with a salad, my husband had the same but with tots, Dad had a French dip sandwich with onion rings and Grandma had a taco salad. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the salad as there is an upcharge for a really unimpressive little bowl of lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 cucumber slices, some carrot shreds and 2 slivers of onion. I ended up eating a bunch of my Dad and husband's tots and onion rings which were delicious. I mean, I would have done that anyways but next time I'll get my own haha We all finished our food and left full and happy so it was definitely good. The atmosphere and people both working and eating were great.

We'll definitely go back. I know it's a frequent go to for family in the area so I'm anxious to try more of the food!
