Taqueria Guadalajara — Restaurant in Refugio

Decided to stop at this place for lunch and it was a big mistake. The building is old and needs URGENT maintenance as it looks very unsanitary and small roaches seen on hallway leading to the restroons. The wood trimming on the floor are lacking and you can see its rotting , restrooms are horrible dirty and the urine smell is very intolerable, the pluming on the reatrooms are old and rusty all over, the sink to wash your hands were dirty and they smelled bad, restroom seemed to be its own building as it has two rooms and it's just weird and lacks lighting. The buffet stand is not clean and several small roaches were seen crawling through the cracks near the floor. The food temperature needs serious inspection by the health inspection office as it was cold. Tortillas are served rolled in a piece of paper not even foill paper or compartment so in a minute they get cold. Food from buffet lacks flavor and it looks very unappealing. There is a store within the restaurant and make it looks and feels weird.....to top it off this restaurant or store is currently being used as a BUS STATION so you are eating and all of the sudden people from the bus come in to use the disgusting restrooms and buy items or food to go. The owner and or the familybate just walking around not even saying a HELLO but are checking out no one is eating from someone else plate. You will hear someone on a speaker announcing the bus is about to leave and is so annoying. Overall my experience here was horrible so I just payed for my food that I didnt even eat and got the hell out of there. I ended up with an upset stomach and felt like throwing up. My advise....DO NOT GO IN HERE UNLESS YOU DONT CARE...

I have been going to this place with my family for over 20 years. My father stopped here every time we drove by. Today my mother was on a bus, and they made a quick stop. Unfortunately, the bus driver left my mother behind, and she went to the restaurant for help since they have a bus stop at this location. The manager refused to help my mother because she had purchased a burger at a DQ next door. He proceeded by telling my mother to go to DQ to ask for help there. This pains me because my mother is a very respectful women and these actions are uncalled for. What happens to the 20 years of business?? Unfortunately, you guys dropped the ball, this attitude is unacceptable for any business, and I would never support you again. Thank you for your service...

I was feeling a bit under the weather when a group of us went to eat there. So my taste buds may have been off a little bit. The refried beans were delicious! The rice lacked some flavor. My cheese enchiladas were presented with lots of cheese and red chili sauce and were ok. Now remember my taste buds were off. The ladies I was with said their plates were delicious. The place was clean. The staff was very friendly. The women's restroom was out of order. But they offered the men's room as an alternative. Which was clean. The place was a nice size and decorated with piñatas and green, white and red banners. The pricing $ for plates wasn't bad. For a fast low cost Mexican meal, this would be a good...
