First, I want to thank Google Guides and other reviewers on Google whose reviews brought El Chile Bravo to my attention. Otherwise, I believe I would not have discovered this hidden gem.
El Chili Bravo is located on the south side of Glenwood Boulevard on the northwest side of Reminderville, Ohio. Some sources cite the location as Twinsburg, Ohio. El Chili Bravo's menu states Reminderville. El Chili Bravo is located on the southeast corner of a strip mall. There is plenty of free off-street parking in this strip mall.
In my opinion, El Chili Bravo is located off the beaten path of major roads. It is worth going out of your way to dine here. Great tasting Mexican food, large menu and good portions of food served. The restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. This is not a new restaurant so the booth seats show some wear and tear. There is a covered outdoor patio in front of El Chili Bravo.
I stopped by for a late lunch and one server was on duty. The server was friendly, attentive and provided outstanding service. When I was there one group was dining on the patio. Myself and another group were having lunch inside and one person was dining at the bar. Several customers came in for take-away too while I was there.
When you walk in the front door there is a larger dining room on your right. To your left is a large horseshoe bar with tables and booths for dining in the bar area where the large screen TVs are.
The server first brings you a basket of chips with the house salsa and takes your beverage order. I ordered unsweetened ice tea and asked if they had a Tomatillo Salsa. He brought me the Tomatillo Salsa. It is spicier/hotter and thicker than the house salsa. My lips felt the heat. Very tasty. I started with the Tortilla Soup. A huge bowl with the Tortilla chips on the side so you are always adding crunchy chips as you devour this great tasting soup. The broth is flavorful with big chunks of freshly pulled perfectly cooked chicken. The Pico de Gallo in the broth are small pieces plentiful throughout the broth and in each spoonful. YUMMY! Next, I enjoyed the Cameron's Al Mojo De Ajo entree. Many medium sized shrimp with garlic, butter and sautéed onions. The dish is served with Mexican rice and a side salad. All generous portions. I asked for some flour tortillas. My server brought me piping hot complimentary tortillas. The Tomatillo Salsa I had with my chips was, also, complimentary. El Chili Bravo serves large portions of great tasting food with wonderful flavor profiles. They offer many items on their menu including some lunch specials and, also, vegetarian options and a seven item kid's menu selection too. Visit with your family or come with a group of friends and everyone will find selections for their individual taste. Great service and great tasting food served hot (temperature wise) from...
Read moreSo I very rarely give 1 star reviews. You have to really earn them. This is coming from a guy with over a million views on Google. The food was great. It was. However the service was beyond terrible. When I walked in I spent about 15 minutes being ignored and waiters walking past me. Then when I finally got one to get a beer, I waited another 10 minutes waiting for a menu. It took moving out to the patio to actually get some service in order some food. The food was great. I went back inside for AC and back to the bar where I was again ignored waiting for my check. I don't know how the waiter split up the floors, but the bar was virtually ignored with no one tending it. I will probably never come back even though the...
Read moreI am a little sad to give this review. We like this place. However, we'd like to bring this to the owners' attention. We think that alcohol served was of a lower cheaper quality that caused prolonged hangover just after 1 drink! We ordered here before, including mojito. On Saturday, April 27, between 2-2:30 pm, both me and my bf ordered just one glass of mojito each, which was good. Bf doesn't have hangovers. My hangover usually lasts 1-1.5 hrs max after leaving a restaurant. This time, both of us didn't feel good till 6 pm. We both went to bed around 10 pm with slightly "heavy heads". My head slightly hurts the following morning. All that just after 1 glass of mojito??? This effect after one...
