We are local to this restaurant and have been here several times. Most times I’d give it a 4* but last night, Valentines Day it was poor. Teriyaki chicken was ordered. The texture of it was having me question whether it was fully cooked or not… upon further inspection, it seemed to be. It was like chewing on a hard gelatin that had nothing to do with chicken. An unknown, unpleasant texture to me. When I voiced my concern to the waitress, she apologized and said recently they’ve switched where they purchase it from and they have been experiencing issues. She agreed it’s not pleasant. I expected to be fully compensated and was told we’d only be discounted 50%… So it was uneaten, you are having issues with this menu item, why not remove from menu until you can fix the issue? Why make your customers pay for inedible food? I voiced my concern over having to pay for food that has even been obviously an issue to the cashier and she had nothing to say. It’s very sad when a locally owned establishment treats its local customers this way. Our waitress was great. My 1* is for the...
Read moreLast night was my first time here and I would definitely come back! It was busy, which is always a good sign! We showed up with 7 people and no reservation made, seated within 5 minutes. Waitress was great, along with all other staff we came across! They were all friendly. When I saw the prices I thought they were a little high but when our food came, I realized you get what you pay for! Almost all of us had food to take home with us! And it was good! The only complaint was the teriyaki chicken my sister got, the texture of the chicken was weird but the flavor was good. I saw a man in a different shirt than the other staff members, so I assume he was management, was helping clear tables, which I commented that that rarely happens so, in my opinion, that says something! Kudos to you! It's a 45 minute drive for me but it's a drive I will be happy...
Read moreWe went for the Sunday morning brunch. My meat eating husband loved it. Pretty sure the scrambled eggs came out of a jug and the mini cinnamon rolls out of a box , but everything else was quite tasty. They had bacon, ham, sausage links, bbq ribs, breasted chicken, beef, brown gravy, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes with ham, pancakes (made frsh), biscuits and white gravy. The only vegetable I saw was corn. No fruit. Water was provided on the table, and milk, chocolate milk and orange juice were on the line. We could have had coffee as well. It wasn't horribly busy, but we didn't get there until noon. They came and took our plates as soon as...
