What a letdown. It would have been nice to be seated where actual servers work. We had a busser take our order and bring the food and drinks out, and that was it. No check back on how the food was or asked if we would want another drink or dessert. He couldn't be bothered to bring the check to the table either, evidently the manager put her cell phone down long enough to do his job, and when I tried to address this upon paying I was met with open hostility "well what do you want ME to do about it!" Asked to speak to the manager and was told he was out for the evening.

Do yourself a favor, skip this place, head over to The Station at Embers instead. You will get such excellent service, food, and drinks you will laugh that you ever wasted...

I was at Ayda's on Apr. 19 and this was my first time here. A friend of mine took me there for lunch. It was 11am so we where the first ones in the restaurant. We got or chip and salsa and my friend ask me to ask for a couple of small plates and some napkins. He responded back to me saying that I didn't need any small plates because it's just chips we where eating. Then my friend order tea so when she asked to bring her hot water it took the sever 10 minutes to bring that cup of hot water. It took 20 minutes to get a to go box. To top it all off I called later that day to explain to the owner what had happened. On Apr 19 at 12:28pm I got a call from the server from Ayda's restaurant harassing me. If you call me again I will press...

Do not recommend. I ordered “”Camarones a la diabla.””” Rice was dry. Beans were drippy. The shrimp was SUPPOSE to be spicy, not even a hint of it, you can tell it was tomato sauce. A “torta” was ordered and it looked like a subway sandwich. I asked for “aguas frescas” which is horchata or jamaica they didn’t have any. How does a “””mexican””” restaurant not have those? I asked one of the ladies very nicely if I could not pay for the food I clearly didn’t eat. She wasn’t very nice about it. I understand they cant sell it to someone else that they would have to throw it away but if you’re representing a business try being good at customer service. I only recommend going if you like non...

I've been here a few times and each time I wished the food had more flavor. It was bland and did not even taste like Mexican food, which is disappointing for someone like me that loves Mexican food. The salsa needs some serious tweaking, as it has virtually no flavor and doesn't have any sort of spice.I ordered the #27 Jared's Special Plate. I couldn't even tell what one of the meats was on the plate and the rice did not have any flavor. And, not to mention, I had to ask for the corn tortillas that were to come with it, because the owner, who ran our food, did not bring them. Also, the food was barely warm when it came out of the kitchen...

I arrived on a Saturday evening just before 6pm. They had a few tables, but they certainly didn't appear rushed. Nice decor overall; looks like a Tex Mex restaurant. When I walked in it was a bit confusing. I had to walk up to the bar and ask where to be seated, "Sit wherever you like." I was quickly brought a menu and I ordered. I got the combination platter #2 (Tamale and enchilada) with rice and refried beans. I received my food in about 15 minutes. The tamale was warm, but everything else was cold. The food was also a bit bland, but that isn't too surprising because it's in Rensselaer, IN. It was fine, but I probably won't come back.
