Very disappointed when we dined in over the summer. I went all the way out there to support a local restaurant during a pandemic. Least they could do was serve good, fresh food to those that try to give them some business. Was served food that was dry, gummy, and cross contaminated. Smoked mac and cheese didnt taste smokey at all, was dry and gummy, cheese was not creamy, heavy. The butter on my rib steak tasted like shrimp. The corn and green beans were litterally dried out like they had been microwaved or sat out. The corn was shrunken and tough. The owner did not acknowledge us, yet doted and fawned over a table of retired folks thinking she would get tipped well from them. We were given a new young waitress that was probably in her first week. We tipped her well cause we could see what the owner was doing, not because the food was good. Oh and dead flies in the windows! Dust! No cleaning going on in this place! When there are over 20 dead flies in the window litterally a foot from where you are trying to eat...discusting! Will not be...
Read moreVery disappointing lunch today. I had the BLT w/Avacado and my boyfriend had the pulled pork & brisket dinner. My sandwich was decent, however the pieces of avacado were cut very inconsistently, so you'd have sliver thin slices, then a huge chunk. They had also been precut and therefore were brown and soft. The real tragedy however was the brisket. Excessive fat, which had clearly been the cap you'd normally trim off before smoking, was served up. I did mention this to the server and to her credit she did bring out a piece with less visible fat. If possible, the serving she brought out was even less palatable than the first. The only bright point was the tray of sauces brought out with the meal. They were delicious and I'd honestly buy a few for home. The meal overall though was a...
Read moreI have lived in the LC valley for about 8 years and today was my first time stopping in. I had the best smoked meat that I have ever had and it was today at Drovers Run. The sauces are homemade (except the ketchup and mustard)... The sandwich bun was homemade, fries were homemade (took me back to my childhood and the way my mom made them), and the meat was smoke in house. We even had a funnel cake for dessert with huckleberry syrup for dipping or a drizzle (I won't need to wait for the fair for this treat anymore). I am going to make the drive from Lewiston to eat here again. This place is now officially on my must eat at places and for this area there are only a handful of places I consider worth going on that list and this is now on my list. Customer service was...
