All American Subs & Lobster — Restaurant in Richmond

I really wanted to like this place, but it just was not great. We came over the weekend and found that our fried food tasted like the fry oil desperately needed to be changed, and the lady with the lashes was wicked rude as soon as she wasn't in the window taking orders. To be specific we asked for 2 cans of Moxie when we ordered, weren't sure if she heard us and went back to order them again separately while we waited for our food, the 2nd lady we talked to said the drinks would be up with the food and thought that 2 which were already on the counter could be ours. I didn't think so, but miss Lashes made sure to say with a lovely attitude that we "didn't order any drinks, hardly anyone orders Moxie so she would have remembered" and that the ones on the counter were for someone else (after the 2nd lady gave them to us). I wasn't trying to steal any drinks and had literally been trying to re-order and pay and was directed elsewhere so it was pretty insulting to hear that.

The long wait would have been fine if the food didn't taste like the fry oil was ready to start Kindergarten. We would have brought it up to be corrected but I didn't want to hear any more opinions or be accused of trying to get free food or anything like that so I just took it and stuck it in the fridge at home to die.

We might give it another try some other time but not the best...

I have come here several times. Limited parking but a nice large area to eat your meal and enjoy the outdoors. I have had their haddock sandwich a couple of times, the only thing I would suggest is adding some flavor or seasoning to give it that extra something. That was a really good lobster roll definitely fresh lobster plenty of meat. Perfect amount of mayo they also offer it with buttered lobster instead of mayo.

Also would like to say the sweet Italian sausage sub I had before was equally as good. Definitely a new regular spot for me.
