Jerry's Pub Grille — Restaurant in Richmond

First time we came here for drinks. Sat at the bar and no less than 4 times did someone walk by us with no acknowledgement. Once served we had our cocktails, observed the place and left. Our second time we came for dinner. Simple meals of burgers and a cocktail... I say cocktail, singular, because the server never came back until she wanted to give us the check. Mediocre experience. The third time, once again, at the bar for a cocktail. After finally getting served our drinks, we chatted up a female bartender and told her of our past experiences. She apologized, said she probably knows who the first male bartender was and then stated there are new owners or managers (I can't remember which) and to give them a try again. So..... Here we are.... Went for dinner. Husband had the Cajun pasta which was delicious. Nice plump perfectly cooked shrimp. My special of the crab cake stuffed walleye was very underwhelming. My first bite was fishy, the others had bones (which I can forgive to an extent), the "crab cake" tasted like nothing than bread and big chunks of celery. I didn't even finish it. Oops, forgot to mention the clam chowder, that was delicious! Nice consistency and pieces of clams! Server came back a couple times to check on us. Paid the almost $100 bill.... Walking out I see posted on the sign for my "special" for $28.95 but our receipt said $34.95. We just left knowing we probably won't ever come back. Great small town restaurant and pub. Completely remodeled inside and out. Dining area separate from pub area. Very family friendly. Service is prompt and friendly. Servings are quite generous and all the food we have tried is well prepared and tasty. Highly recommend the Tuesday fried chicken buffet. The chicken is fried to perfection with a thin crispy coating so it is juicy without being greasy. Don't pass up the mashed potatoes and dressing. Very nice. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Are waitress was fantastic the girl be wore out with all the running she did for everyone. Table host was very good top notch. I had the rack of ribs and a large potato and side of broccoli and everything was super good. My wife had the walleye dinner that was nice and flaky baked potato. House salads for us both.
