The good: Really great layout. Classic imaginative, tree-lined New England course. Be accurate off the tee and you can score here. Condition is always immaculate. Staff is friendly. I love playing Richmond CC. It's great golf. Walkable too.

Be aware: No chipping area. Range is hit or miss. Buckets are pretty small for the price. Run out of balls far too often for an unpleasant surprise. I'd seriously pick it once a week for them just in exchange for range privileges. Please get new mats! Long overdue. They're rock hard and could damage a club. I really don't want to hack up the grass area, but I'm not taking that risk.

People want to play here and something about beautiful golf courses inspire people to play slow as heck. It's challenging, so there's a lot of trouble to be found out there.

Enjoy yourself on weekend afternoons with a 5+ hour round easy at beautiful Richmond. Want a rain check or refund cause the course is playing so slow? Not happening… literally not happening…

Anytime after 12 on the weekend this course is as slow as the inevitable sinking of the titanic… keep that in mind… refund.. nope… rain check…...

Rushed us off the front to make room for an outing they had going out in the afternoon. We were backed up against 2 groups all day long but played as fast as possible. Make the turn and there are 4 groups on the 10th hole, 2 waiting to hit and 2 playing the hole we were the 5th group in line. Went back to the clubhouse to get a rain check because pace of play was ridiculously slow and Jeff Dodge in the clubhouse said he couldn’t help me. Tried to blame me for slow play. Course is fine but I have never been rushed through a round like that to make room for an outing and then been told “tough” when asking for a rain check. Go somewhere else they will always prioritize and outing over...
