Star Burger — Restaurant in Richmond

Alright so this place used to be a chicken shack, and it was one of my favorite places to go as a kid!! So i was very saddened when they finally shut down.

While commuting to work, i saw a big banner on the building “Star burger coming soon", i was very curious but no official date of opening. It was like that for months....i dont know what took so long.

One day i drove by and i saw the doors open and the big huge star lit up so i busted the fastest u turn of my life straight into the parking lot. As soon as i stepped in i was greeted by a clean simple lobby and great customer service

I ordered the double smash burger with bacon and a small order of cajun fries, i only waited 3-5 min before my order was done, while i was waiting i order one of there banana pudding cups.

I receiving my order in an oily paper bag, i loved the way they through the fries in there, kinda like 5 guys....i took my burger out and got straight to work, the burger was the best ive ever had, cripsy and juicy with the fries Complementing the burger perfectly. If i could give this place a 10...

I would Give1 star. But I'll give 2 since they were nice..And the initial 1 star because this is my second time trying the food and was not satisfied. First time ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and fries that were very salty, but would be delicious otherwise. Second time order 2 chicken sandwiches AGAIN but the fish and fries and limeade. This time the food was soo salty we couldn't even eat it and refused to mask the salt. Plus I ordered them dressed with grilled onions on 1, besides the saltiness, they were made wrong anyway, no dressings, only cheese that I'd requested in addition and the grilled onions ONLY. But we still would have eaten the food if it weren't for the salt. I told the cashier that my prior food was salty and was told that they've had that exact complaint , so, obviously, they'd rather keep the salty food and mess up what could be an amazing sandwich and lose a customer. They were nice, but I won't be returning plus couldn't get an answer when I tried calling after the first bite. My 18 year old whos a growing greedy athlete couldn't even eat...

Such a great addition to the neighborhood! So happy I don’t have to go all the way to Cookout anymore. Customer service was A1-free water cup was DEF appreciated! Prices were👌🏾
