Great location and nice venue for music and fun with friends. My NAV had the access road all wrong so any first -timers , be aware. I actually found14 Acres by accident shortly after I overshot the incorrect NAV info and was looking for a turnaround street Lo and behold , my turnaround street turned out to be the road leading to 14 Acres. There is a small , discreet , wine-barrel sign at the entrance. Once at 14 Acres, I was impressed by the appearance of a working winery and the attractive property location . There were crates of past pressings lined up along the driveway and in the parking area. The property is located at the foot of a gentle slope , and my 6 pm arrival in mid October highlighted this venue in a peaceful , evening light. The tasting room is located in a small/medium sized building with several rooms and a small meeting room. bar is located at the side of one of the rooms. Bar service was friendly. Prices for the pours were medium/high , which seemed fair , since there was free music provided by Frolick. There is an L shaped patio on the far side, with several tables and chairs. Our small group ended up around one of the firepits , which were welcoming in the cooling October evening. There is a small gazebo located up slope from the tasting room providing for a more private nook for small groups. Food consisted of flatbreads ( read pizza) and small dishes . Tasty. Handicap doable and recommended--all 1 level with large , unobstructed access to all locations at this winery. Final take--Recommended for a relaxing evening with friends . This venue seems ideal for hanging with friends in a relaxed setting with attractive surroundings.

I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t obviously crowded although I would say that it was busy. My impression of The Tasting was that it was very impersonal and succinctly transactional. I essentially ordered a tasting, paid for the tasting and then found my own way to a table to sample the 6 wines they hand to me. Perhaps I’m overly needy but I like to hear a little bit about each wine I’m sampling. A little story about the intent of the wine maker and perhaps an anthropomorphic rendering of the character of each wine. That didn’t happen at 14 acres, not in the least. They handed me a collection of small pours and moved me along to my own devices while they served a similarly dispassionate sampling of wine and a table number for the food order of the next patron. Ok, fine. It is what it is but I’m not feeling particularly welcomed or appreciated. Now, my sensitivities aside, I think they are missing some up-sale opportunities. When I taste wine and have a rapport with the person pouring it for me, they have the opportunity to see what my thoughts are and then play to either the ones I favor or, and this happens a lot, they figure out what I like and then suggest a varietal (usually a lot more expensive) that they think I would really like. And I usually bite! But not at 14 acres. I left with no bottles of wine and no one at the winery was any the wiser.

I’ve been a member for about a year now. Since joining and being told I would receive two free glasses of wine or flights, they have changed what I was offered a year ago and now only give one choice each visit. I was told the Washington liquor board would not allow this but not sure if that’s true. Attended my first summer concert of 2025 here last night and was unhappy that you can’t buy wine by the glass as I didn’t want to buy a entire bottle for one person and consume this much when I was driving or drive home with an open container. Instead I had a can of cider but as a member I would have preferred the wine I joined the winery for. With full bottles being sold, there were some very drunk people leaving last night and praying they had designated drivers! The Taken by the Sky performance was really great last night but this will be my last summer as a wine club member.

This place has so much potential! I’m surprised no one has commented on the extremely poor customer service?! Businesses have their “off days”— 100% understand and have grace for that. But after visiting THREE separate times and each time experiencing the worst customer service we canceled our membership because not even amazing food and wine can cancel that hot mess express 🤪

First visit: WOW the food and wine are amazing. Every single employee makes us feel like we’re a burden, is the opposite of warm and welcoming, and servicing is extremely slow. But… it’s probably an off day and they’re just understaffed. We’ll 100% be back!

Second visit: again, food and wine are amazing. Service… again make us feel like burdens by simply walking up to the counter to order off the menu. Like GIRL we just want some wine tastings and a flatbread… so sorry???

Third visit: no greeting. We finally order some food and wine bottles (no tastings because she’s running around like a hot mess express already and we can tell there’s no way that’s going to go well) We ask a question and the lady literally responds, verbatim, “I can’t answer that I’m just way too stressed” as someone who worked in the customer service industry for years, it’s pretty easy to say something along the lines of, “hey I’m juggling a couple things at the moment, let me get back to you and your question, thanks for waiting”

None of that though— we just walked back to our table after saying sorry, didn't mean to stress you out.

We get our flatbreads finally and we mention we have fries on our tab as well, so she doesn’t take our number and is aware. She snaps back at us that they'll be coming. Which we respond with something along the lines of, “thank you, no rush, we know you’re busy, just letting you know”

30 min go by. No fried potatoes. So we reluctantly go to check on them. They say, “soon”

Two min later, same hot mess express stressed AF lady comes out and says she never put in our fries and it’s her fault. No problem. She’s busy, not a big deal. But then she asks us if we’d like to order them or not because we didn’t pay for them??

Again. Coming from the customer service industry, it’s SO EASY to be like, “I’m so sorry, that was my mistake, I’m putting them in for you right now” Having the server come to us, without an apology, and ask if we’d like to come and pay for something that we ordered an hour ago felt so icky.

We ended up skipping the fries and went up to the counter to check out, grabbing our wine pick up from October. She’s adamant that we pick up Januarys order… even though January isn’t over and we don’t have to? We wanted her to just pull the auto charge per usual and not worry about it today since we were already buying multiple bottles. She wants us to email in to chat about this… even though… we’re… at headquarters? Like, we’re on site??

Like I said. SO MUCH POTENTIAL. This land is gorgeous and the food and wine are so so good. But the operation is a hot mess express and the customer service is anything but hospitable. We’re members of many great wineries up and down the west coast and have never experienced service this poor consistently.

If you want to join a wine club, I’d suggest investing your money elsewhere unless there’s a management or ownership change. You can get a much better experience for the same price...

DO NOT GO ON CONCERT NIGHT UNLESS ATTENDING CONCERT!

Our first experience on 07/03 was really nice. It ended up being our favorite vineyard in the area, food was good, wine was better and staff was nice (they mis-poured one tasting but corrected it when we asked).

Our second time was the worst experience I’ve had at a vineyard. There’s new owners so I expected some hiccups. We pulled up and were told we would have an hour for tasting then would have to leave for a “Tom Petty” concert. We were offered tickets for $15. We said we would think about it. We go in and the lady at in the tasting room was so rude. She was impatient and frustrated before we even got to her. I asked her for a recommendation on red and she said “the wine list is over there.” Okay, you work at a vineyard I figured you would have some suggestions. We asked about the concert and she said it’s a cover and and tickets are now $18. We both ordered a Pinot noir quickly because we were both uncomfortable and wanted to get out of her way. She poured them into plastic cups??? At a vineyard? I felt like I was on an airplane. We asked if we could sit on the patio and she said yes until 5.

We go to the patio and are told by “security” that we can’t be outside. So we go and sit inside and drink our sad airplane cup of wine.

We’re already there and really do enjoy the wine so my partner went to grab another “glass” for us. He again asked for a suggestion for a dry white wine since he usually orders red. She responded with “again the menu is over there.” She ended up telling him the Pinot Grigio is the “least sweet” when they had Chardonnay and other more dry wines.

After that we got halfway through our wine and left with a very bitter taste in our mouth (and not from the wine).

My suggestion? Close the tasting room for non-concert goers. That would have saved a lot of disappointment if we would have just been told it’s closed...
