Completely forgot about this place, until I saw a post on a local Facebook group & I'm glad I saw it, because their food is fantastic! I got a carry-out of chicken cream chop, small hummus, & an extra cup of their garlic sauce. Loved the chicken cream chop! It wasn't dry, the seasonings were perfect & I really liked their rice too. For a $1.99 upcharge, you could get a fattoush salad which was HUGE. Loved their hummus as well as their garlic sauce. And they have poofy bread!! SO much better than just a plain pita that's usually given with a meal. Also, their different sizes/types of baklava are just as delicious. The one thing I wish they had on their menu was baba ganoush (I did ask about it & mentioned that'd be a great addition if they decided to add it). The restaurant was very clean & their kitchen area looked equally as clean. Super friendly employees too! Looking forward to going back & trying a shawarma sandwich & other...
Read moreThey start with warmed pita and garlic. Pitas are nice. Other half liked the garlic sauce. We ordered lunch entres, and their descriptions were somewhat confusing by staff. Chicken Shawarma and Kebabs, were both overcooked and had none of the expected Shawarma seasoning... very bland and dry. The salad which came 1st was fantastic so we were surprised at the lack of flavor in the rest. Lastly there was no sauce in any form. No standard tahini etc. We were offered a couple free donuts on the way out. Sadly, they also were at...
Read moreSurprise,Surprise,Surprise! Who’d think you could find quality Lebanese food at a Truckstop in Emmett, MI ? I had the Chicken Shawarma.. packed with grilled shaved chicken, delicious.
Ambiance of a clean, modern gas station, lots of pictures of menu items, not very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Walk through to the convenience store and smoke shop.
This place would be packed in a normal urban location. The toum ( garlic paste / sauce ) is mild and pleasant, with a fluffy consistency. Pita is soft, and fresh ( New Yasmeen bakery in Dearborn is my guess) a big portion of pita and garlic is complimentary on the table.
The Arabic tea is served with cardamom pods, and is good.
5 stars, really unique and delicious...
