Chef Garden in Rincón is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience, a celebration of Puerto Rican heritage, and a testament to the artistry of sustainable cuisine. This gem has earned its title as the “Best Sustainable Restaurant in Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain, and Portugal,” and it’s easy to see why.

From the moment you step onto the property, you’re greeted by a tranquil ambiance that effortlessly blends lush outdoor seating with a stylish indoor dining area. The thoughtful design extends even to practical details, like the convenient parking area that ensures a stress-free arrival. But the true magic lies in what happens on the plate.

Chef Garden’s menu is a constantly evolving work of art. Changing every two weeks, it showcases the finest local ingredients and honors Puerto Rican heritage with a modern twist. Incredibly, the restaurant has not repeated a menu lineup in over two years, a feat that reflects the creativity and vision of its culinary team. Each dish tells a story, offering a harmonious blend of freshness, tradition, and innovation.

The chefs here are nothing short of culinary alchemists, transforming the island’s bounty into creations that dazzle the palate and soul. Their unparalleled knowledge and commitment to sustainability shine through in every detail, from the sourcing of ingredients to the plating of each dish. It’s no wonder that many consider Chef Garden not just one of the best, but the best restaurant in Puerto Rico.

What sets Chef Garden apart isn’t just its exceptional food—it’s the entire experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff make you feel like a cherished guest, and the atmosphere invites you to savor every moment. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or someone seeking an unforgettable meal, Chef Garden delivers on every level.

If you’re in Rincón—or even if you’re not—Chef Garden is worth the trip. It’s a masterclass in sustainable dining, a love letter to Puerto Rican flavors, and a shining example of what’s possible when passion meets expertise. Don’t just take our word for it; experience...

I found this spot while on a weeklong trip of Puerto Rico. My girlfriend’s birthday was coming up and I wanted to do something special. I looked up “fine dining” and this place immediately caught my eye. The concept and experience was something we were into, so I booked it right away. We love authentic Puerto Rican food but needed something new from all the mofongo and alcapurrias we’d been consuming. The restaurant’s menu is built on the food history of Puerto Rico, highlighting traditional and indigenous ingredients. It was something we could not miss.

We enjoyed each dish that was served and the story that the Chef and hostess shared. We savored every bite and patiently waited for the next course. We left satisfied and discussing our favorite dishes and how great the experience was. We would definitely come back as they update their menu frequently with new stories to tell!

Things to note/response to other reviews: Keep in mind this is an outdoor dining experience in a tropical climate, so there could be mosquitoes and other critters. It is BYOB (for now). They did not have their liquor license at the time and allowed guests to bring in their...

The moment you walk into Chef's Garden you know you're in for a treat. You're actually sitting in the garden where they grow most ingredients and they use all local product. The atmosphere is very relaxed and calming allowing you time to enjoy the company of friends and family during the five course meal. The meal itself is artfully presented and full of layers of delightfulness. They provide homemade hibiscus juice and herbal tea. You are allowed to bring your own alcohol and there is a small corking fee. The menu changes every two weeks so we actually go every other week because we don't want to miss any of Chef Josiah's creations. Chef Josiah visits each table at the end to answer questions and explain some of the methods used in creating certain dishes. Most dishes have some historic connection with Puerto Rican culture which he will also explain. Chef's Garden is family owned and operated and it shows in the details and the happiness that surrounds you while you dine. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a delicious evening at Chef's Garden. We always walk away with a feeling...
