Perhaps more of a breakfast lunch place then a dinner place? Our food was terrible. I ordered the cheese steak and had no idea what I was eating even though it was supposed to be a cheese steak.

A cheese steak should have fried onions not burnt caramelized onions. There were so many burnt caramelized onions I was not able to taste the meat inside at all.

I Have no idea what oil they cooked the meat in whatever it was the sandwich tasted terrible.

My wife ordered the tomato soup and it ha a tasteless bacon in it. It did not taste like tomato soup . Was not properly pureed was rather chunky gritty just not right. The chicken fried steak was mediocre at best. I have no idea how this place stays in business cuz the food just sucked. I hate to sound so tough and given it's good rating the only thing I can think of is the people have no other place in the area to eat so they only eat there and because the restaurant is their local restaurant they have to say it's good because if they didn't they would be compelled to drive 20 minutes down the road in either Direction to eat at a different restaurant. Do yourself a favor don't waste your money don't believe the other reviews unless your expectations are so low and you don't know the first thing about food don't waste your time going to this restaurant.

There was so much food left over we thought it would just be easier and less confronting to take it home and throw it in the garbage can there and that's what we did. Our server was delightful and we much appreciated the great service she provided us. And our tip reflected that as well.

Finally take this review for what it is a disappointed customer. If your whole life is dedicated to cooking then your food should reflect that. Our meal didn't reflect that at all unfortunately. That's all I'm saying up food standards. On the other hand you have a lot of happy customers clearly so maybe what you're doing is just a perfect thick and they're happy so even though I won't be coming back it won't matter because you have plenty of wonderful happy customers and that's really what counts. So all the best to you guys and maybe I'm just...

A mountain of high quality perfectly prepared food! I came in a little after 11 o'clock on a Saturday, assuming that they would only be serving lunch even though I was really craving breakfast. To my delight, the waiter told me that I could order either breakfast or lunch. Awesome! I ordered a ham and cheese omelette which comes with hash browns and choice of toast, biscuit, or pancake. I chose the pancake. Surprisingly, my meal was ready in less than 10 minutes. And it was perfect. Everything was huge! I knew immediately that I would only be able to eat half of this delicious breakfast - I would take the rest home and eat it for dinner tonight. The ham in the omelette came in nice big chunks, with all the fat trimmed off. It was tasty lean perfect ham! When I ordered I forgot to say what type of cheese I wanted in the omelette, but it came with cheddar, which is exactly what I would have ordered. Perfect! I'm not usually so crazy about hash browns, but these were great - finely shredded, nicely browned, and not greasy at all. And there was a really big portion of them. The pancake was really good, too. Everything just excellent! I only got water to drink; would've liked coffee with breakfast, but I need to be frugal, eating a meal out like this is already splurging. Plus I have a full thermos of fresh coffee in the car that I will sip on as soon as I leave. My waiter was Nick and he was friendly and accommodating and overall excellent. I wouldn't be able to complain about anything here at the Appaloosa - even if I was looking for faults I wouldn't find them. ...

Edited completely today mother's day 2025. Original post was made on mother's day 2024.

Original on mother's day in 2024! Really horrible when you can't get a simple BLT because it's to hard to make for dinner. After she let me order it comes back and tells me no, is extremely rude about it. We should have just left then. We won't be returning.

Edit part of post........ mothers day 2025 after owner comments......

Funny I am not sure why it showed up today saying I posted this 2 months ago..

I left this last year on mother's day, when all I wanted 10 mins after the lunch time was a BLT. We were there before 4 but she didn't come take our order till 10 mins after 4. She let me order it!! Then comes back and says the cook can't make it? I'm sorry I don't understand what was so difficult, there were 2 tables in there besides us they other had their food. Was not busy enough to turn down a simple BLT. But I got to love that the owner picks mothers day again to leave a horrid comment...happy mothers day to all you moms out there here is how you will be treated. Definitely won't be returning. The caribou in Okanagan is a great place to eat! Only open till 2 pm tho no dinner. As long as it's on the menu they will serve you anything you want at any time and the owner is...

I had The Works hamburger with tots. The beef patty was handmade and the perfect thickness for a hamburger along with two thick slices of bacon. I loved that the cold items were separated from the burger to add tableside. The homemade tarter sauce is dill but is very good, and that is coming from someone who loves a sweet tarter sauce. It's literally one of the best hamburgers I have ever had, and that is a LOT of hamburgers.

We were referred to this place by a local. It has a nice family atmosphere. And the service was good. The menu features several high-class dishes. However, the food was rather bland and lacked seasoning. The steak was cooked perfectly but needed a lot of salt. The Alfredo was just bland. Just a little seasoning would have made a huge difference.

Great place for a drink and filling meal! Small town, rustic bar and restaurant. Salads, sandwiches, burgers and steaks. Fresh batterd fish and chips on Friday's! Definitely coming back for that!
