If I could breakdown the stars. 5 for the atmosphere. Amazing view. Docks to come by boat. Service 3. Our drinks were never offered to be refilled once while sitting outside waiting for our meals or during The ice melted fast even though it was 630 at night. Sat with a watered down soda in front of me. I just don't think you should have to run after anyone to have a drink offered to be refilled especially when it's warm outside and you can clearly see the drinks are watered down and nearly empty. 3 Food. I would suggest maybe at least one or two appetizers be added to the menu. Maybe fried pickles, fries, Chicken wings onion rings?? There is nothing to snack on while waiting for your food or to accompany the sandwiches. Maybe even some chips and salsa. Not everyone likes potato salad or coleslaw. Even a side salad with a tomato n a onion , cucumber would be fantastic We ordered pulled pork, cheese burger, blk n bleu burger. Neither of us were asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. These did not come out juicy and full of flavor. My friend said her pulled pork was very good though We were the only people at the time ordering food. It took over 20 minutes to put prepared coleslaw, potato salad n pulled pork n two burgers together on a lined paper plate. I didn't care for coleslaw. It had a sour taste to it and very mushy. Burgers were ok. I didn't see the "wow" factor that every one talks about. But then again, this was Gibsonton. The surrounding area looks very poor n you go through a residential area to get to restaurant. There is no where to eat in the area. We were looking for a quick bite before a movie. This restaurant does have amazing potential because like I said, the view is amazing as the sun is setting. It's just not a hidden gem as far as the food goes. I'm hoping the new movie theater will draw more local restaurants. I wish I could give this place more than a 3, but when we left, we were thinking of other options we could have had go eat...
Read moreGross. I will never go back to this place. We walked in and there was only 2 other customers, and 2 waitresses on. We waited for over 10 minutes for menus and even after we recieved them we were hugely disappointed in the selection. After finally ordering 15 minutes after we told the waitress we were ready to order we thought it couldn't get worse. 45 minutes went by and they finally brought out my kids 'pizzas' only to see they were toasted hamburger buns with sauce and cheese on them. And when we thought it STILL couldn't get worse, another 10 minutes passed by and the waitress informed us their oven and grill wasnt working properly. My cousin(who had to catch a flight immediately after leaving there) ordered a pizza which was like toasted cardboard. I had ordered a burger, well done. Her pizza even though the oven was broke, came out way over cooked. My burger.....raw inside. We didn't have the time to re order anything else as this had already taken WAY too long. The waitress was kinda a B about it and to us too which was slightly annoying considering we were trying to be as pleasant as possible. The I do believe owner, felt bad and took the kids meals off our bill, but we honestly shouldn't have had to pay for anything in my eyes. I seriously have not had a worse dining experience in my life. I dont know if we just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or what, but a raw burger, burned pizza, nasty kids meals, and rude waitress(mind you we were 1 of only 3 tables with 2 waitresses) was enough to never ever have me go back. I wasn't expecting a 5 star restaurant walking up to this place, it's very obvious that when you walk into this place it's a local ma and pa kind of joint, but I at least expected the comfort food and hospitality that would come along with...
