Hong Kong King Buffet — Restaurant in Roanoke

I started eating here on a regular basis in January of 2025. I had discovered that the chef was quite talented and could prepare the foods I preferred that were not available at the buffet or anywhere else in the Roanoke area.

With a little patience and some trial and error over the first couple of visits, the staff quickly learned my preferences and now my meals are prepared with consistency and perfection!

Consider, in 2025, a self-service burger or chicken combo meal costs $12 to $13. To be sure, It's a tasty treat, but an unhealthy option lacking in nutritional value.

For a few dollars more, I can enjoy a cleaner dining area, full service and a custom prepared meal that contains natural grains and lightly cooked vegetables rather than highly processed, deep fried and greasy foods; basically a heart attack on a tray.

Did you know that a comparable serving of firm tofu has nearly the same amount of protein per volume as beef? Tofu prepared in a healthy meal is also a preferred source of protein due to significantly lower fat content (no saturated fats) with no cholesterol. If you want to live longer and enjoy a healthier lifestyle with less body odor (for vegetarian dishes), the choice in Roanoke, AL is clear.

Don't compromise! Chose a stir fry meal. My favorite is, "Crispy Tofu with Vegetables" prepared the way I want it. Request spicy or not, salty or not, saucy or not, sugar levels that work for you, cooked light and firm or with use of longer cook times.

Hong Kong King Buffet has offered me polite, friendly and attentive service every single time! I can say honestly, that I love their staff.

They were to close at 9pm and we arrived at 8:45pm. We know how it is to get stuck longer then expected and just dread how long it’s gonna take. I went in and asked if they were still serving & was welcomed with smiling faces. Felt like I had known them forever! Staff had started cleaning up in preparation for closing. I am so glad they let us eat! Seriously the best Chines food / buffet I have ever been to 🫶🏻 they even restocked made fresh whatever we wanted! we would be regulars if we lived here. One of my daughters was being funny about wanting to eat. I wish I got the ladies name____ that was serving us…. Well she asked my daughter if she just didn’t like Chinese food. My daughter is shy so she just kinda shrugged. She ( lady serving us ) went in the back and brought out pizza & cheese bread! My daughter said it was the best pizza. Our cups were never empty & we were even brought stuff to the table to try. Service deserves more then a 5 star rating. Honestly would give more then 5 stars on everything if I could. Hong Kong King Buffet is a great place to eat. Dine in or Take out, equally great. The owners are warm, personable and they remember us every time. (Even after we were out of state for 5 months) We always feel welcomed. The food is great every time. We highly recommend this eating establishment! Thank you!

A family emergency took my wife and I out of state for 6 months. All is well, but I will say that many times during our absence we talked about missing out on eating at HK King Buffet. We returned to Roanoke about 3 weeks ago, exhausted. Tonight was the first night we felt like eating out and of course, we chose HK King Buffet!!! It did NOT Disappoint 😊 Funds are right, so we did the always available Dinner Combo with Shrimp Chow Mein, Sesame Chicken and some Honey Chicken. All great and we're so glad to be back!!
