Wonderful little spot off the highway. High quality ingredients and fresh food, all while not hitting your wallet too much.
First off, the fact that they are using Martin’s buns is what got me interested in this burger spot to begin with. Then I saw the Oklahoma burger on the menu (They just call it the number 3) and I knew i had to check it out. I had my fingers crossed that the owners got inspiration from George Motz’s burger in NYC. Who is now famous for reintroducing the world to the classic Oklahoma burger.
Typically the Oklahoma burger lets the onion infuse the sweetness into the meat without the need for condiments but Smashville took a chance by adding their signature sauce and it paid off. It tasted great.
Only thing I wished for was a little more toasting on the bun but it’s such a small thing, I’m not gonna knock em for that.
The tater tots were fresh and golden brown. I also got onion rings. They were just fine. Nothing overly good or bad about em. Would be nice if they had some seasoning in the batter but they might be bought in frozen so it might not be an option.
Staff were so friendly. She chatted with me about the establishment and where they came from. She talked about the menu and gave great recommendations. Wonderful employee.
Overall, this is a great addition to the Northlake/Justin area. They are turning that little spot into a food truck park and with Smashville as the anchor restaurant, I can only see success. Definitely get some lunch or...
Read moreOne of the best flat top burgers I've had in years. Good quality food without a doubt. This is a better burger than you can get at any fast food chain around this area BUT the price for a meal is a bit out of bounds. I am already concerned enough that it takes $12 to $15 bucks to eat lunch these days but $20 is a HUGE ask unless I am getting a salad, entree w/ side(s), bread or chips & salsa with a drink for lunch. I'd gladly eat here two times a week instead of POSSIBLY once or twice a month if the prices were more reasonable. I know food costs have gone up for all but you can't expect the customer to pay 20 + bucks for a burger, onion rings and a bottle of water. If that food trailer was in Grapevine, TX. - MAYBE it would fly. You are in the heart of middle income Justin Texas. Folks out this way can't afford $20 bucks for lunch. Doesn't work for the spouse! : ) Great food and I mean that!!! Prices need work. Lower the prices and get the word out that you have one of the best (if not the best) burger North of 35 / Heritage Trace! Volume will increase if you make it affordable. Trust...
