Friday Oct 6th at 555pm I stopped in to buy Cedar Rapids Parade of Homes tickets. I live in Robins and frequent the store 2-3 times per month over the past 15 years. I have owned and managed a small business with 30 employees the past 25 years. When I entered the store there was a young black hair colored girl sitting on a step stool behind the counter. She looked very disinterested and unhappy. When I asked about the tickets, she had no idea what they were nor where they were in the store. There was a Parade of Homes white pamphlet on the counter that I pointed out for her to look at for assistance. Reluctantly she asked for help from an older lady in the kitchen (who also seemed stressed and not friendly). The young girl came back from the kitchen and scanned the pamphlet with attitude toward me (like I was a nuisance being there and wanting to buy the tickets). I asked why she had an attitude and then she mutterred something under her breath, I asked for her name since she didn't have a name tag on twice and she totally ignored me, stopped helping me, and went over to the other register to help other customers. I asked if I could talk to her manager or supervisor, and again, totally ignored me. I went to the kitchen entryway for the older lady to help me and she said she would be with me in a second. As I was waiting for her, another customer mentioned to me of how his customer experience at this store has been deteriorating over the past few months as well. She came to the register to ring me up to pay for the tickets, but she said she didn't know where they were at. What good was selling me tickets that they had no idea where they were? Coudn't they call a manager to find out? I then said nevermind and left the store. I will NOT spend my money here again. The young girl needs to be fired due to total lack of respect and rudeness shown to a customer. Management needs to screen and train their employees...
Read moreI have never seen such inept management as is in place at the Robins location. New management every 2 to 3 months. Every time they get a good employee that actually does their job they only last a little while because they end up doing everyone else's jobs on top of theirs.Currently they have 3 good employees....wondering how long they'll stick around. The new manager isn't much of a manager at all....she fired a gal recently for stating facts. Apparently she felt threatened by the other gals job excellence. And then just today 7/25/16 I stopped in just before 4pm to grab more Gatorade. I stepped forward to the counter and as I'm paying for my purchase the gal ringing me up states bluntly....you smell like sweat and cigarettes....I don't like that smell. Now I'm a big boy and it didn't hurt my feelings. I work outdoors and sweat from working. And yes I smoke....but I thought WOW....how unprofessional! I'm a regular at this location....stopping in 2 or 3 times a day. I've had numerous bad interactions with this same gal. I've always remained calm and have never snapped at her. I did bring up some other issues to the current manager and obviously nothing has been done. Many other people I know have had similar bad experiences with the same gal. Some no longer shop there. I don't want to stop shopping there because it is literally right up the street from my place of business. I just wish customer complaints didn't fall on...
Read moreIf you go here looking for 3 things, garunteed they will not have at least one of them, the kitchen won't be staffed, or working, pumps might be down, might be taking cash only, soda is out of stock. These are the things that happen too often here.
Update, I rarely go here for the reasons above, but thought I'd stop and get some gas tonight, and guess what, no gas, if anything, at least they consistantly...
