Subway — Restaurant in Rochester Hills

I've visited this Subway a few times and the experience is usually good. They have a divider up for Covid and social distancing stickers on the ground. The food is usually fresh. The lady behind the counter when I go is usually the same and is really nice.

When I went today I took a coupon for the first-time. The usual lady was there and looked at the coupons in my hand but didn't say anything. I was waiting in line behind (3) people and when there was (1) person left in front of me, I noticed that there was a sign saying they don't take coupons at all. It was small and on the casing for the fresh vegetables. There were no signs anywhere else. I've had tons of coupon issues with Subway even though the coupons come in the mail directly from Subway themselves and we follow all the exclusion rules and expiration dates. Getting annoyed with them at this point. Seems as if a lot of the stores just try to deny the coupons just because of laziness. I cannot say that that is what this is but it is frustrating to say the least.

There were no masks on any customer or workers unfortunately when I visited today 11/1/2021. I was not greeted either but the woman greeted both men in front of me like they were regulars. She also greeted a Doordash driver who came in. Pretty much ignored me.

We stopped in for a quick sandwich. Subway is always pretty reliable for a relatively low calorie and inexpensive meal. In general the sandwich was good, as always, but we have two quibbles. Firstly, this is one of the locations which doesn't offer brown mustard. With Subway it's hot or miss whether they do, and this one doesn't.

Secondly, my wife asked for extra pickles and was told that there is a limit on pickles. She wasn't asking for an unreasonable number, but when she asked for some more she was told that it's a policy to limit pickles. This is the only franchise we've visited which has told her that they limit pickles, and this location has consistently done so for years.

We will probably be back occasionally since this is the location closest to our house, but we visit less than we might...

I go out of my way to go to this Subway because of their employees! They are very funny and look like they love their job and their customers. It is superior in all regards: quality of product, quality of service, cleanliness, professional attitude, set-up and handling of orders and customers. I love going here because I’m always greeted with a smile and I leave with my stomach full of happiness! Keep up the wonderful work!! ♥️ The lady during the evening is very nice and generous. She makes the best sandwich and doesn’t skimp out! But she is always working by herself during dinner time & this forces customers to wait...
