Looked like a good spot. At first the servers were friendly, but before I could even sit down I was asked what I wanted to to drink, I asked for a min to settle in and then 10 min later she returned. My fathers breakfast looked good and he said it tasted good. My onion rings were greasy and really mushy onions inside more like a big Burger king onion ring, I couldn't tell if there were real onions in it. My steak bomb was "ok" it wasn't a typical bomb, it was more like a pepper and onion steak and it was dry. The iced tea was unsweet which I like but theirs tasted like chloraseptic.
Place is pretty dirty, all kinds of dirt on walls and around knobs, you can see into the kitchen and the grill area is pretty built up with gunk on walls and behind grill. Vat of egg mixture and a big can of West Creek corned beef hash was just hanging out, the egg vat was on same table the dirty dishes are placed on before the lady with the blue gloves takes them.
Staff of this day openly complaining about some customers load enough for a few folks to hear and talking about them under their breath as they walked by.
I was charges extra because ai used a card, I know some places do this NOT ALL of them do. But I was unaware, i saw not post for this info. I was later told it was on the door. Well, it is on the door, but on a sign with a whole paragraph of like a size 14 font. who reads a whole long story before entering a restaurant. I was told this after I left the restaurant in the parking lot by the same lady complaining about her customers.
I thought in NH they could only charge 1%, well on a 40.71 bill that would be.41 cents. I was charged $1.42. If i am wrong then my bad, I might be misinformed about how much they can charge. But still saw no obvious sign i would be charged.
Here is the kicker, I love that the line cook hid behind the prep counter behind the can of hash, looked around, then turned his back to face the grill and hood and proceeded to take a hit of a vape device. I clearly saw it in his hand when he pulled it from his pocket with other items and he waited until the other cook was gone. I watched him put it back...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had an absolutly horrible expiernce at Brickstones, this is how he sums up our last visit to this once enjoyable restaurant: So Emily and I went to brickstones restaurant on Monday for her birthday. We've been going there for a few years together. I've been going there for about 8 years myself. We ordered omelette plates and a fruit cup. I usually don't do this but I really feel this is one of the only ways to prevent being treated with bad business practice. Emily ended up getting violently sick and missing work Wednesday and today. From breakfast at BRICKSTONES in gonic Rochester. We went there today to tell them about how she missed out on work and about how she was still feeling the sickness. And they threw us out. We were pleasant approaching them with our issues. We even called first but never got a call back. Rather than listening to a concern of a customer and trying to improve there business by listening to our constructive criticism they decided to ignore it. Then threatened to call the police of we didn't leave. They called me a crackhead and said that's why I wanted the money back. I was beside myself at fact that this was happening and saddened that they mistook our situation for what they thought to be a scam. It's like they didnt believe that we were telling the truth for one second. I couldn't believe it. So if you don't want this to happen to you or your loved ones just avoid...
Read moreI have never written a bad review in my entire life. Being a waitress/bartender myself I know the difference between a waitress having an off day/being in the weeds(a good attitude will100% always outweigh this issue) , the kitchen running behind)being out of waitress’ hands completely and just blatant incompetence. Like I said being in this industry, I’m understanding of a lot, so if I have a subpar experience somewhere, I usually just forget about it right after I leave and continue w my day. However I’m still bothered by the service my friend and I received on Valentine’s Day around 1130 am. I do not remember her name unfortunately. There were plenty of empty tables and we were instructed to seat ourselves. We sat over in the right back corner where the kitchen opens to. We were seated for a solid 15 min before being greeted. our food did not come out at the same time, at least 7 min apart. I ordered the eggs Benedict( wasn’t spectacular but def the best part of my over all experience, thank god!) and my girl got eggs, bacon, sausage and toast (she was not impressed) then we pushed all our empty dishes to end of table signaling we were ready for check. Another 10 min passed so we assumed we payed at the door. Paid and left.
Like I said, Normally a negative review is the furthest thing I’d ever want to do. Also, being a server 9/10 I look past some stuff but I just couldn’t...
