Robin's Nest — Restaurant in Rochester

I am honestly shocked that this place has 4.5 stars. I went to bring my daughter here for ice cream since we were visiting my father who was here from California staying at the campground down the road. Welll my daughters ice cream was amazing no complaints at all whatsoever. I asked for a chocolate chip and coffee. I literally cannot believe how I was treated by the old man in the back. The frappe I received was so milky you couldn’t even tell there was ice cream in it I literally felt like I was drinking a cup of milk. So I asked him very nicely if there was a way maybe he could add another scoop of ice cream in it. Due to Covid reasons obviously he can’t do that… Which I totally understand I been find of that they don’t put regular ice cream inside of the frappe they put soft serve coffee ice cream and then regular ice cream for the chocolate chip. I thought that was really weird because crabs are supposed to have actual real ice cream in them not soft serve. I just wanted to have what I ordered what I paid for which was about eight dollars so I asked if he could remake it he wouldn’t I said OK fine can you please at least make me a small coffee frappe with real actual ice cream and he then Told me that he would not do that either. What do you mean you won’t do that? Whatever happened to being respectful and treating your customers with kindness? I could not even believe it you risk getting a bad review all over making a customer happier. All I wanted was my frappe to be thicker that was all and I was ready to...

I ordered "two" fish plates with Cole slaw. Hamburger and Fries. Now I always go here! I always speak to the owner (man) this time was a young girl. When placing my order through the window noticed she was having a bit time hearing. No chips, just Fish with coleslaw, large. Waited a good 20 min to 30 min. Meanwhile a bunch of people came in. She called my name and noticed only three items. She forgot my other order of Large Fish with coleslaw. So, she put another order in and meanwhile my other food getting cold. They managed to keep it a bit warm and the entire time was almost an hour. I was not happy. I had my elderly mother waiting in the car with her pajamas on. UGH! All in All, love the food but the young girl needs to CONFIRM to make sure orders are correct! I wasn't going to do this review but that was ridiculous!!!! Great...

The food was absolutely fantastic! My mom and I ordered a seafood platter to split, it was filled with fresh and perfectly fried Cod, Scallops, whole bellied clams and shrimp with fries.
