We kept noticing Lew's, both on the road and in lists of restaurants, but no one said we should try it. We decided it looked interesting and wish we had tried it earlier and told others. My wife had Chicken Parmesan with a starter of Brocolli Cheddar soup and was very happy. I had the Glazed Blackend Sesane Pork Chops with a salad and was also happy. There were other choices on the menu we would have tried if we had more time in town. The service was also solid.

Update: we went back e few days later and the food was amazing!! Great Prime Rib! Yummy. Unfortunately I have to give this place 1 star. The night I went in they didn't have a cook and we're unable to make most if their menu. Even something as basic as their club sandwich. I was told that was too complicated. We left without ordering. I really wanted to like this place and was excited to try their chicken parmesan, but that wasn't available either.

A very weird experience. We may have been there on an off day, but stopped for lunch while driving through and there was basically only 2 people working in the entire place - the cook and one waiter. The waiter seemed extremely frazzled, didn't know the menu, and took a long time to work with us (but he was polite). The cook ended up taking our orders. Food was OK. Limited vegetarian options, but there are some.

We've been here twice. They were out of supplies for 2 different cocktails my husband tried to order so he gave up and ordered a beer. The entrees are delicious, but the molten lava cake was a frozen pound cake served cold with chocolate drizzle. It was so freezer burned that I was grateful I had beverage remaining to wash away the taste and I asked them to remove it from my check and had them take it away. The server who made my martini had never made one and it was half the size of the one I ordered the first time I went. When I told her she thanked me for letting her know and she still charged me full price for half the drink. If I'm only going to order an entree I would come back, but I eat out for the experience. I probably won't be back.

Update A year later I thought I'd give them another try... worst meal plan ever. We ordered 45 minutes ago and they just came out with our soup, our first order of drinks had no alcohol all the way around. My very first experience here was amazing. That seems like a fluke. I've been here 4 times with only 1 good experience. I have no idea how this place is still in business. The wait staff tries very hard, but they are definitely not set up for...

If I could leave, Zero stars I would. I’ve lived here for almost 30 years. Lew's was our go to place. I don’t know what happened to them worst meal ever. We had a really bad meal a few months ago we decided to try again today. Absolutely terrible. We threw $70 worth of food away rather, than take it back to the restaurant, and make a scene. I had pork foo young the gravy was so runny that by the time we got at home, which is less than a mile from the restaurant, the foo young was soggy. The rice tasted like it been in Floating in water all day. The eggrolls are not what they used to be. They used to be big and tasteful. They’re small and overcooked. We also had calamari fries they were so overcooked you couldn’t bite into them, no taste very bland. Also had chicken masala that was absolutely horrendous. Very sad. We threw our meals away. We will never go back. I wish I would’ve...

While traveling we visited Lou’s on a Sunday around noon. My husband, having grown up in the area, wanted to stop for nostalgias sake. It was not busy which was nice. The server (only person running front of house) was welcoming and polite. The atmosphere was nice and the dining area clean. The menu had variety and we were looking forward to the Chinese selections. Unfortunately, there was one cook working and he didn’t know how to prepare a majority of the Chinese menu items. This was disappointing. We ended up selecting items from the sandwich/burger menu. We liked the hand cut fries. We had an appetizer and 3 entrees and paid around 60 bucks.

If you stop in the future and want to try the Chinese menu - call ahead and make sure they have a cook working who can cook the...
