Domenico's Pizza — Restaurant in Rockaway Township

The town has so many excellent pizzerias with far better service, so maybe don't be an a55hole...

I've defended this place on line from naysayers complaining about an order or the people working there, but I get it now. I order from here weekly, if not 2x a week. There's a young guy who's always there and is really nice. But yesterday I picked up an order from an okder gentleman, maybe the owner. Got my salad and mozzarella sticks (which BTW, are better out of the shoprite frozen aisle) and asked if they had a box I could carry it out in. He seemed highly annoyed, so I treaded lightly with my next request and jokingly said, "I'm sorry, one last thing and I'll leave you alone, could I get some plates and napkins?" He replied nastily, and I quote, "For what??" 😳 Dumbfounded, I'm like, "Um, the food I'm sharing? I didnt think I'd have to explain that or that it'd be a problem after just ordering a $20 salad." He flings the plates in the box, cutting me off with a "have a good night" and walked away. I looked at the people on line, all equally stunned. WHO DOES THIS??! I was completely docile and asked a for very reasonable thing!

Between Anthony's, RJ's, Rustica, I wont be back, nor will a lot of people I know who live in...

We've ordered from here many times in the past, and service has always been at least adequate (if not spectacular). That changed (ironically) the day I saw the reviews here complaining about delivery problems (which kind of surprised me). But we called in a delivery order, nothing big, complicated, or difficult (one dinner, one sandwich, one burger). They told us 45 minutes. An hour and a half later, I called to check the status of the order and was told it hadn't left the place yet. We live 5 minutes away, so I told them to forget the delivery; I'd come pick it up. What really got me was that when got there, the didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. And I heard the owner in the background telling an employee (who was on the phone with another customer wondering where her delivery was), "Just ask her if she wants to come get it herself." I know Friday is a busy night for pizza delivery, but shouldn't they...

This places is so convenient because it's right next to where I live but the service is horrible. I asked for one pie to get delivered and the woman said it would take an hour. I asked if they could call when it's on the way and they said no. I made sure I was upstairs so I would hear the delivery guy and no one showed up. I called an hour later and the same lady said the delivery guy came and called and waited and no one answered the door. That was a complete lie because I was waiting the entire time and my blinds were even open. I told the lady no one called me and she said "I don't have time for jokes it's Friday night and we are busy" I asked is they could come back I have guests waiting to eat. She said she has to see when the driver was coming back. Who says that?? these people are so rude. i wanted to cater my sons bday party and definitely will not be anymore. Service is a deal...
