Smoke House Barbecue — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Just horrible customer service over the phone, I asked did they have ribs left. I misunderstood what the woman said, and I asked again because I wasn’t sure if she heard me, I heard her immediately catch an attitude. And Say “here Jaz, I can’t deal with these people” like come on. Half the time they either have their phones off the hook, or they’re out of ribs. It’s like why even run an establishment like this if you can’t handle the customers. I truly dislike how they perceive themselves as this Christian like restaurant, but they have the worst type of attitudes (Jaz was nice though after that mishap). Them and Rick’s Ribs truly should not run a business if they can’t even answer the phone or handle the volume of customers that they may receive. I understand first come first serve, but they literally have been this horrible for YEARS. I’m over it, Get more staffing and have enough product… it’s called SUPPLY AND DEMAND. Get a new vendor, idk that’s not for me to figure out. This all just a suggestion, but control what you can first and that the attitude. No one wants a side of “sassy” with...

FANTASTIC!!! You might want to put this on your "go to" list for your next party/gathering/just too tired to cook list! Next time it's your turn to pick up food for your office, or family gathering.....if you want to impress everyone, GO Here!!! You know how most barbecue places put SO much sauce on...to cover up a dry cut of meat..... not here! I loved it...their sauce is just right...and I am super picky!!! Their fries are spot on....and my Grandparents owned a drive in on West State in the mid 50's, so I KNOW how good fries are! Their coleslaw was over the top good, I went back for thirds!!! I was lucky enough to have a manager go here for food for our store inventory lunch, he said they/owners treated him like family, went out of her way to make sure our food was fresh, and hot for our event....she even toasted the buns for us, YUM!! The next (dozen) times we eat out, we will be going here, (even though it's 35 minute drive). I would give 20 stars if I could!!!!! I don't give very many reviews, because honestly I can't find places that...

Small off the road place attached to gas station. Small location, limited tables, but welcoming and homey. The servers and service are exemplary. As soon as you walk in the restaurant, they want you to know that you are welcome .

As great as their service is, the food is Delicious. My wife and I both had their pulled pork sandwiches. Hers was on regular bread, and I had the Special sandwich SHO BOAT on a larger bun served open faced, piled high with pork. I got French fries and she got the coleslaw. WONDERFUL! More than enough food for both of us and the pricing is inexpensive for the quality and quantity.

While we were there, another guest was having the burnt ends and did not stop raving about how good his food was. A lot of their business is pickup. We will definitely be going back to try more...
