TNT'S — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I absolutely love this place!!! I know in past years this place (which was formally named kishwaukee tap) was known as a very rough spot to go to and for that reason I wouldn't dream of setting foot through the door! However this place has gotten new management and owners and through the last few years they have done a great job of cleaning the place up!! I've been there three or four times in the last year and every time I have felt very welcome, comfortable, safe, and I just all around had a really great time. The owners are there every day/night and the bartenders are amazing!! As well as the food being the best "bar food" you can find in the area, there is also darts and a pool table for your enjoyment in a area off of the main bar room that we like to utilize when we have a large group meet up for drinks or dinner. I love this place because when I walk in everyone's friendly the bartender the servers and the manager make you feel like you're at home. They have really good what I call bar food, they don't skip on the drinks they give you your money's worth and the prices are very reasonable. When you walk out of there you get a Feeling of contentment. I personally go there with friends and adult family members on a regular basis. Mike always says hello and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. They play music on Friday and Saturday night. TNTs is under new ownership and continues to improve since its days as the old Kishwaukee Tap. The staff is friendly, as are the new owners, the food is great and there are continuous upgrades. The new floor inside goes great with the newly blacktopped parking lot. There's a nice gaming area and the patrons are good blue collar types. They also carry THE PAPER, which is always a plus. Kinda miss the pool table and wish they had a good Scotch, but all in all, worth checking out, especially if you haven't been there...
