The Brothers Eatery — Restaurant in Rockford

We went and it was a little busy..seems it was just the 2 owners doing all of the front of the house work..Serving tables...no waitstaff. Sat down at a vacant table that had not been cleared of dishes yet. We are patient though so no big deal. 15 min later we were still sitting there with the last people's half eaten food in front of us and hadn't been greeted..a table of 5 came in they cleared wiped down sat, and got drinks before we were even noticed. Finally had our table cleared and were ready to order drinks and food for 2 people. The waiter still put in the big table of 5's food order in first even though we were there 20 minutes before them. Food was ok..French toast was pretty good..but one thing..if you're going to have a breakfast place, you HAVE TO HAVE GOOD BACON. the bacon was thin almost like the microwaveable kind..im not picky but don't go cheap on one of the more important...

Went there with a group of four on The restaurants opening day. I had breakfast for lunch, French toast with sausage and eggs. Absolutely the best breakfast in town! The others in my group had lunch and everybody thought it was great. The restaurant was clean, and there was plenty of parking. The service was a bit slow, but I talked to the owner and he said that they had been slammed from the time they opened the doors at 6:00 a.m. and were caught off guard by how many people came in. I'm sure that that was a temporary problem. We are heading back this coming week to enjoy...

We had a group of 14 people decend on them on a Sunday afternoon. They did a fantastic job getting everyone seated, beverages provided, and orders taken. They even checked back to make sure they had the correct number of items in process. Good thing, as one item was missed. Everything came out in a timely manner, from a single cook. He rocked it!!! The server checked back a few times topping off our waters, and cleared plates as people finished. Overall a wonderful experience and a pleasant visit. Food was great, with hot items hot and...
