New Jerusalem Inn — Restaurant in Rockland Township

Good food. Reasonable drink prices. Friendly and courteous staff. Santa was there to entertain and kick off the evening entertainment. All of the elements for a good time since the evening was advertised as a Christmas event featuring a local band.

Well..it just so happens that this band has quite a following and a good many of these people have young children. Many of these children were in attendance this night. As the evening progressed Santa kept parading around beer glass in hand and drinking until bluntly intoxicated.

I just can not comprehend what type of a message this is sending to these kids, how their parents explained this to them, why they would have to be faced with a situation like this or best yet why this pitiful performance by Santa was permitted to continue.

We don't normally have a problem here but since management changed, we've been here several times and have received extremely poor service. Tonight, my boyfriend and I sat at the bar, expecting to enjoy a night listening to our friends play. Instead, the bartender barely acknowledged us, we got our first drinks and waited over 20 minutes for another one, after trying to wave the bartender down and trying to get his attention 3 separare times, he didn't even see us. We used a local flavor to try a new place to eat. I can usually eat anything, but it was so bad, I could not eat it. The So-called turkey was hard, freezer burnt and was in chunks like dog food. the lobster bisque was warm, salad was iceberg lettuce with no green in it.
