Grand Lake Grill — Restaurant in Rockville

As a patron of Eddie's who has heard great things about GLG, I went into my visit with high expectations. Apparently we chose a bad night to visit. With Hometown weekend in Cold Spring, the nearby bars and restaurants were not very busy. We arrived around 5 on Saturday. However, our service was very slow. We had to request water more than once before receiving water glasses. We asked for a side of ranch that never showed up. Both my wife and I noticed during our trips to the bathroom that wait staff was sitting at the bar talking. The french fries were great though. Maybe we need need to visit on a night with different staff, but our experience has not left us with motivation to revisit when there's other great places in the Cold...

Beautifull place on the lake. Love the picnic table dining on the new grass, closer to the lake. The more rustic upper-outside deck area remains, and was closed off. Very good, timely & courteous service. Even as she got very busy, our waitress always acknowledged us. Food was good. I had a simple 1/3 pounder & fries. The menu is a bit limited. I would like more options like Eddies had. For those expecting the Eddies experience, you may be disappointed. This is the first time I've ever been there. And it won't be the last. If I walk into a place and I feel so comfortable, then I know it's a great place. When you have an ability then things in life is so easy. The waitresses cover for each other and when everyone works together as a team then everyone is happy. Eddie my hat off to your team. And to the Manager too, as Eddies behind the bar she's taken care of all the young ladies. The atmosphere is beyond this...
