Okay, I get it, it's McDonald's. Expectations are immediately lowered and a willingness to forgive a certain level of lack of customer service. Check and double check.
Now, as a location that is fairly new, you'd think they'd be a little extra on meeting expectations. You'd think.
We had burned chicken nuggets on a previous visit, but this time it was egregious. We had some bad weather and the kids were home from school, I thought l'd get them lunch on the way home. I placed my order through the app and made my way to the restaurant. I walked-in and took a seat by the counter, as the app told me they were making the order. Several minutes later a man, thinking he was the manager, asked me if I ordered. I told him I already placed my order online and he promptly replied that they didn't have any orders. He asked me if I placed the order at the right restaurant, and then if I set it up for drive-thru. Nope, pickup at the counter. "Oh, I canceled your order." What, why? "Well, we're about to close (this was 12:48pm...okay the weather wasn't great, but still), so I canceled your order. You'll get your money back." I looked around and saw others placing their orders and the manager saw this. "Oh, I can take your order here." Ummm, no. You canceled my order for no reason and could have had it completed before you even took some of orders in the dining room.
It's sad that such a simple thing can create such a terrible experience and one that will make me drive past this location in the future. Do better, McDonald's, I don't expect a lot, just some courtesy...
Read moreI went to this new McDonalds by my house that just opened to purchase a gift card as a Christmas present. They informed me that they couldn't do a $20 gift card. It had to be 2 $10 gift cards which was fine with me. I proceeded to pay for the cards immediately. I then sat at the window for another 5-10 minutes as I watched them look flustered trying to figure out how to create this gift card. They came back to the window and told me that they needed my card again bc it didn’t work the first time and they would have to refund me and charge me a second time. They asked me to pull forward into a parking spot and they bring the gift cards out. I realized at this point after I had parked that they still had my debit card so when they finally brought the gift cards and my debit card back out, I checked my banking app and they had double charged me (2 $20 charges for 2 $10 gift cards) but I assumed the refund would hit my account in a day or two. I gave some extra leeway because of Christmas being this week. Here I am 6 days later and I have yet to receive the refund that I was told I would get and they will not answer the phone when I try to call them. At this point I’m handling it with their corporate office to...
Read moreI pretty much never leave reviews... But yo Mcdonalds... we just hiring any smooth brain human with two hands? Other comments are correct this place seems unsanitary and overly busy in the back... especially since you will almost 100% of the time be told to pull into a waiting spot for your food. I only ever order one thing: a "double cheeseburger ketchup only" and im not joking, I think out of 30 times I've been here they have gotten my order correct maybe 5-6 times. Yup, can't get 1 cheeseburger correct that means they are getting simple orders correct about 17-18% of the time (atleast in my case).... yeah and thats after having to explain the order probably twice or three times. Don't get me wrong there's a couple people here that are great, but idk don't waste your money here folks- bite your lip and head over the one on the service road. The extra 5 minutes will save you some...
