This is probably the worst run McDonaldâs restaurant that Iâve ever visited. Now, donât get me wrong. It probably has one of the best run drive-thrus that Iâve ever used. You can easily place your order there, have it filled, and drive away in less than three minutes.
But if you dine in, well thatâs a completely different experience. Now, again, donât get me wrong. If youâre there to pick up a DoorDash order or to buy a âsenior cup of coffeeâ and leisurely drink it while chatting with friends, someone will help you right away. If, however, youâd like to order a meal and dine in the restaurant, you should lower your expectations.
It starts as soon as you approach the counter. Nine times out of ten, there wonât be anyone there to take your order. Drive-in customers can place their orders within seconds of driving up to the outdoor station while dine-in customers are often kept waiting for an interminable amount of time. And, as if keeping you waiting isnât bad enough, the employees behind the counter, who are all bunched up around the drive-thru area, will completely ignore you even though they see you standing there. Not a single one will do you the courtesy of acknowledging your presence by at least saying that someone will be over to take your order in a moment. No, theyâll just glance at you as people usually do when a person approaches their vicinity and then continue doing whatever they were doing beforehand. Once, during one of those typically long waits, a woman leaned over and half-whispered to me âI wonder why this is called fast foodâ to which I could only agree.
Your experience wonât get much better after youâre finally able to place your order. I donât know how often it has happened that Iâve begun placing my order by stating that I would like to dine in only to receive my meal in a bag anyway. Iâve even often asked for one of the numbered order indicators that are located right beside the cash register only to be told, âItâs okay. Iâll bring your food over to youâ only to sit, forgotten, at my table for 10 minutes before going to the pick up counter and receiving my food⊠in a bag.
This ârestaurantâ wouldâve gone out of business a long time ago if it werenât for their drive...
Read moreMy visit yesterday was horrible. We ordered ice cream and fries at the speaker. We paid at the first window. When we got to the food pick-up window, the male server asked/confirmed our order. "Did you have ice cream and fries?" We said yes and he closed the window to get our order. He comes back to say, "we don't have any ice cream, our machine is down". We felt that this was something that should've been known when we ordered at the speaker, therefore , we wouldn't have paid for it. So he's just looking at us, and my mother said, well may I have my money back? He says "I'll need to see your receipt" with an obvious annoyance in his voice as if if wasn't their fault. My mom says, what is the need to see our receipt when you have the copy on the order-board plus, you just confirmed our order?" He then rolled his eyes and closed the window. She then asked to speak to a manager.
Of course without really disciplining the situation, the manager goes on to excuse his behavior saying that he is 15, is normally a great worker, and doesn't know why he would've done such a thing.
Back in my day, if you had a complaint of terrible service against you, you were fired on the spot. Regardless of age, if you cannot keep your composure, show kindness towards anyone, especially the elderly and the handicapped, then you do not need to work. Start back at basic customer service training. This is not you getting into it with your peers. This is a business where top quality services are paid for. If you feel that you cannot offer quality, go home!
We do not go to a restaurant with the expectation of receiving nasty service. It is unfair and needs to be handled and...
Read moreI went through the drive through at 1:00 on Friday. I waited patiently behind at least 20 Cars, they were using 2 lines. The McDonalds app was not working and would not allow you to place an order to expedite things. I ordered an unsweet tea and the menu and receipt said unsweet. I received sweet tea which I can not drink due to diabetes. I had to park and wait in another line inside of at least 10 people. I ask for it to be corrected the manager exchanged the tea and never apologized. I had to go inside and Iâm totally disabled. I asked if they could honor the app deal of free fries on Friday and especially since my order was so messed up. The manager said she could not do it because she had nothing to do with the app that she said it had not worked all day. Nor did I see her doing anything to fix it. She told me she couldnât give me a small fries because it would mess up her inventory. However, Iâm certain there would be no way to accurately measure a small fries out of an entire days inventory. This is how much McDonalds cares about Customer Service. They are sorry and the Managers they hire are Callous and even worse than the corporation...
