Well what a disappointment! Mother's Day maybe wasn't the best time to visit this place for the first time and the half hour wait wasn't surprising but we expected better. First of all with approximately 16 tables inside and 3 waitresses working, there shouldn't have been such a long wait nor an hour long wait for food. Nicole was our waitress who honestly was running the entire place by herself! She was absolutely amazing and considering she did everything she maintained a great attitude! The other 2 girls (kids) were basically just walking around looking busy! Nicole was cleaning tables, seating people, taking orders and it looked as if she was even helping in the back of the kitchen! I felt bad for her! After looking around at other people's food which looked pretty good we placed our order and after an hour wait it's arrived, My omelette was so dry. I could barely eat it, the eggs were way overcooked and I didn't get hash browns like I saw everybody else getting. I got country potatoes out of a bag that were burnt to a crisp and not edible And my husband's food was about the same overcooked or burnt. The stuffed French toast was the only thing amazing! My toddler even ate all of the strawberries off of it which says a lot since she barely eats. I personally think the owners need to step up their game since there are not a lot of breakfast places in our area and they are the only ones open on a Sunday. We could clearly see they are a Ma & Pop kind of place which we truly love but they need to take a better look around and see all the new faces of people looking for a good breakfast joint. The owners also need to either be there helping or hiring adults that wanna work and not kids. Nicole, Happy Mother's Day to you! You were the best part of our first experience here and definitely need a raise! Unfortunately we probably won't be back. One last note, I definitely don't appreciate other customers allowed to bring their dog inside a place where people eat! It was clearly not a service animal and it smelled like wet dog. Shame on the customers for even asking to bring a dog inside and shame on the...
Read moreToday was our 3rd visit to Jaclyn's. The 1st two visits went fairly well but today was atrocious to the point it's highly unlikely we'll return. When the two of us came in several clean tables were available but there's signage instructing us wait to be seated so we did so. There were three waitresses on duty but it took approx 10 minutes to be seated. One of us made coffee at the self service coffee bar but there were no napkins, no creamer avail. We had to walk to literally every single table gathering creamer packets for one coffee: no wait staff offered to assist. Once our meals came the macaroni & cheese was so cold (as in refrigerator cold) the cheese on top wouldnt melt in addition to it literally being boxed Kraft Mac n Cheese. I took the mac n cheese to the kitchen & asked that it be microwaved for 30 seconds so we could eat it. For a side we ordered $6 loaded hash browns. The serving size was just slightly larger than the size of a McDonalds Happy Meal french fries. Maybe 1/2 again larger. Seriously, that was $6. All that was on them was onions, cheese, & a small amount of bacon, $6. Also, utensils didnt come with our food so we started looking around the room to no avail trying to find some. Finally we decided to ask & had to ask 3 times to achieve utensils. By time we got utensils the Mac n Cheese wasnt the only thing cold, so was the rest. If the restaurant had been packed to the gills I'd have understood some of these issues. However, there were FOUR tables seated. That's it, FOUR, in the entire room. This is the very 1st feedback review I've EVER left for a dining establishment. As much as we were looking forward to dining today I sure wish this review couldve been a 5 star. Too bad. We need some decent dining locations in Prairie Creek in a...
Read moreThe food was quite plain, nothing special. I ordered the french toast to go, and it was quite disappointing for a very simple dish. The main reason for the review is because of the atmosphere. If you've ever wanted to be transported back to high school and remember how the mean girls would treat you, this is the place to be. Unless you're a regular, be prepared to be ignored until you say something. I walked into the restaurant, and not a single employee acknowledged me, not a single greeting. I walked up to the register, and was still ignored by the 2 people behind the register that were busy chatting. The busiest person there was the only one to speak to me and asked if I had been helped yet when she was walking around. The very young person that eventually attended to me at the register has clearly yet to be trained on professionalism or maintaining composure, as she gave me a very nasty look after I was very unhappy to have to spell my name out (Why bother, dude. Spell it however you want. You already made me wait 5 minutes in front of you without you even looking at me). This was pointless anyways, as they didn't even call my name when the order was ready. The entirety of my 10 minute wait, not a single person offered me a seat, or even looked at me. Those reading this review are welcome to make their own conclusions, but mine is very simple. This restaurant is not for non-locals. As a tourist, I do not recommend this place, especially if you want to experience any semblance of southern...
