Rte. 8 Roadside Diner — Restaurant in Rome Township

I'm not sure where to start. Place was packed Sunday morning. Cafeteria seating was all that was available so we sat between an elderly couple that was hacking their guts out, I wished I had a face mask. The couple on the other side was having a conversation better left to somewhere more private. The food was unacceptable my family didn't eat it. My pancakes were only cooked on one side, my link sausage was 1 step away from raw, my toast had something that resembled butter but spread like lard. On top of that there was so much on the toast it was soaking. I couldn't stomach putting it in my mouth. I ordered eggs over easy and got fried. The bacon was so burnt you couldn't bite into it. When the fellow came to take our plates he didn't even notice that none of us (4 of us) didn't eat the food delivered. We paid $46 for food we couldn't and didn't eat. I had 45 minutes until my next appointment so I thought I would stop there for lunch. Sat for 10 minutes before the waitress acknowledged I was there and brought me a menu. Excellent hidden gem of a restaurant, I've been 3 times in the last month and a half. Most recently I had their burger of the month which was a French onion burger, amazing hand pressed patty with excellent toppings. My son got pancakes which were big and fluffy and wonderful. I follow them on Facebook and all of their pictures look amazing. I'm looking forward to trying more items...
