Wow! drove by and saw this little Coney Island on my way up north, stopped in and had a DELICIOUS lunch. I am a coney snob, lol, but was very happy that they had a GOOD hot dog with natural casing, and great coney sauce. I tried a flint style and a Detroit style, and thought they were pretty dang good. The hubs got a 1/2lb burger and ate every last crumb lol. The fries were excellent, onion rings were fire. Major bonus points: the place was very clean. Definitely recommended. Looking forward to going back and trying more things!
UPDATE 7/7/24 Stopped in today for an early lunch. There was about 5 other tables sat in the restaurant, and we had a young male server. I ordered cheese sticks, 1 coney (hey, you're at a coney island, might as well lol), and a grilled chicken fajita pita. I am not a fan of breaded/coated french fries so instead I got hash browns. The hubs got the crispy chicken (chicken tenders) pita and fries. First off the mozzarella sticks were really good. We were at a party last night and needed something to help calm our tummies since we (ahem) overserved ourselves. lol. The cheese sticks HIT the spot. Husbands chicken finger pita - honestly, its a 5/10. The chicken tenders are not the traditional tenders made from tenderloin - they are processed compressed chicken. So that was just ok. I shop at GFS too, and they sell the real chicken tenderloin chicken tenders $39 for a 10lb box, so its not like they are expensive but nobody's probably ever told them that they aren't that good. Ok moving on, the grilled chicken fajita pita was AMAZING. The grilled chicken was fresh, perfect amount of cheese, green peppers and onions. Fresh pita bread. Not greasy at all. The hash browns were home fries (cubed potatoes) and were also very very good. I'd rather have those them the coated/breaded fries any day. All in all, the service was very good, server was attentive, very friendly, and quick. For all the food we got it was around $40 (2 pitas, 1 with hash browns, 1 with fries, cheese sticks (you get 6), 1 coney, and 2 pops. To me that's a great price. We can't go anywhere else around here without spending $60-$80 anymore. So Tony's Coney is (in my experienced "always eating out" opinion) a good value. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was clean. A little music playing would be...
Read moreTony's Coney's holds a special place in my heart. From a time where the food and the customer were treated like they are supposed to be treated, with respect. The food tastes delicious and the people are very personable, right down to the man Tony himself, a class act. My experience was better than I expected and I expected alot. And complements to the chef, Ty you rock. I highly recommend this place for some great service and for the delicious food. If you haven't tried them yet you are really missing out. So I suggest you pack up your family and head down 33 to Tony's Coney's. I promise, you won't regret it if you do, but you will...
Read moreI called in my order at 10:40 in the morning. The lady told me no problem, give her a few minutes... I actually walked in 7 minutes later & immediately was misquoted on the price of my biscuits & gravy. Then I was actually treated like that was my fault or something. All the while I'm still waiting for my food to arrive (to go!). So on Friday June the 14th, 2024 THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM AMANDA AND HER OTHER WAITRESS WAS HORRIFIC!!!!! All of this occurred over a simple order of a half a biscuits and gravy. And that was AVERAGE AT BEST!!! Live & learn... ☹️🤬💯
P.S. I still left her a...
