Today was my first time eating here out of dumb luck for not having cash for the malt stand next door. But let me tell you it was a blessing. This place has truly mastered its craft. Best bbq I’ve had in a long time especially in this region. I will be back on a weekly basis. I could taste their love and passion in the food. Brisket tacos were on point with crispy outside like a quesadilla and brisket was rendered perfectly with the evidence running down my beard. Made a fishing trip and when we were done, a new friend that was local recommended Slabs. Took him up and so glad we did. The staff was very friendly but the food, it was awesome down to the buns our sandwiches were served on. We had the brisket and smoked sausage sandwiches. I had to call and apologize to this gentleman.

When I called to order 8 brisket meals for me and my guys, I asked to make sure he put forks and knives to eat with, and I disrespected him bc that brisket didn’t need a fork or knife.

Was the most tender, and juicy brisket I have ever had. And flavorful.

Will be back in the area next Monday for work again, and I’m not happy that they are not open on Monday’s.
