Smoke on the Ohio — Restaurant in Rosiclare

Goodness, I don't typically give 1 star reviews. We were staying locally and headed out for dinner. Smoke on the Ohio was 1 of just a handful of places nearby. From the moment we opened the we felt very much like outsiders. Have you ever watched a movie that showed a scene of "outsiders" entering a restaurant? You know, when all the customers stop and stare? That happened to us. I thought, no biggie, we are outsiders. We made our way to the counter and waited to be seated. After 15 minutes with no greeting or being sat we left. There were 3 tables out of a dozen or so filled, not sure what the reason for the lack of service was. We decided to go across the street to the grocery store and had THE BEST steaks ever and enjoyed them in the comfort of our vacation home.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

My husband and I stopped in here for supper and had a bacon cheeseburger, we had them dressed I had no tomato and my husband had tomato, my sandwich came out with the tomato and his without, the flavor was good but the burger was more like a smashburger than a regular patty, we both ordered cokes and got sweet tea, I had fried greenbeans with ranch and he had broccoli/cheese bites, my greenbeans were fantastic and had way more than I could eat and the broccoli bites...

We made a huge order while visiting my parents. There were over a dozen of us eating and we ordered appetizers and entrees. Our food was ready quickly and everything was delicious! We especially loved the fried catfish but seriously, everything was hot and fresh. Usually in an order as large as ours, one or two things will be missing or wrong but everything was just right! We loved it so much we ordered lunch there two...
