The waitress was nice, there was only one on duty. They could possibly feed 200 but only 20 at a time. It was a real type of country scenario. Well, more like a harley place Harley Davidson, because I didn't see no cowboy hats nor any cowboy boots with jingle Bob Spurs like in Gillette WY, Cowboy Cafe with swinging doors. I gave it 3 🌟 because the waitress wasn't rude, the people spoke when I contacted was made and the place was clean. I didn't adventure into the restroom, but a Lil girl did, and she was in and out like Flash Gordon🙃😉. If you look at the 🍽 🍛 in the photos I had the cowgirl small portion and all I ate was the wheat toast and gravy. Oh, and a couple forks of well cooked hashbrowns off my husband's plate because my hashbrowns were not cooked to a brown color...my fault, I forgot to ask for well done or crunchy. The food was so Not good. It had No Flavor no taste. Salt and pepper didn't do the trick. I had stated I would just watch my husband eat and I can pick up IHOP. Nope, he didn't want to eat alone, so $15.99 wasted on my behalf.
No we will not return, at least not for🤢 breakfast anyway.
It could be, because we are not from Roswell NM, and the people may not use seasoning salt/pepper or spices. ⛔Stop the press🗞. The Wellhead and Pecos Diamond 💎 Steakhouse restaurants in Artesia, NM they season their food.
Yes, there was 👍🏽 customers service.
Yes, the place was clean. No food on the floor or tables as we walked in.
Was the food worth the💰 🤑 💸 Not to us. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, we're not accustomed to flavorless/tasteless food. The food did look pretty...
Read moreOn our way to Bottomless Lakes east of Roswell, we happened upon the Cowboy Cafe and decided to have an early lunch. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made! My husband had biscuits, gravy, and chicken fried bacon, and he still dreams about that bacon! I had the chili burger with sweet potato fries, and I loved it! There was just the right amount of hotness on the burger, and the sweet potato fries were like dessert. The coffee arrived nonstop, and our server was friendly and gracious.
The atmosphere is so comfortable that anyone would feel right at home in this little cafe, and it feels like an authentic "Roswell" experience. The space is small, but the personality is huge! I love the mural on the back wall and the painted windows. We had a booth with a nice bright window beside it.
The prices are really reasonable, and it's great that, although they are only open until 2, everything on the menu is available the whole time. I would prefer having my burger and fries at Cowboy Cafe to any other place.
Parking is more than ample, with a big lot just to the right of the building. There is a ramp on the front of the building for those with walkers or wheelchairs. It seems to be kid-friendly, too, although I didn't see any there at the time. Although salads are served, there are few low-carb options, so remember this if you have dietary restrictions. (I have to keep my carbs low, and the burger and sweet potato fries hit my limit, and IT WAS WORTH IT!)
Cowboy Cafe is such a great experience that we will absolutely be regular...
Read moreLimited seating, small cafe, seating capacity appeared to be approximately 40, may experience wait during tourist season. Im here on a Saturday morning at 8:15 in mid—April and had no wait at all. Love finding local cafes that provide a good experience. From first look at menu, I felt prices were on expensive side for breakfast items. I ordered the Alien Omelette since Im in Roswell. Wondering what the advertised alien sauce will be made up of over the omelette. Turns out the sauce is green chile sauce & its super spicy & possibly a bit overpowering for some people. Be warned. Have your Tums ready. Started with coffee; above average. Service was very attentive throughout meal keeping my cup full. From order to delivery, time was approximately 10 min. Overall, Alien Omelette was cooked perfectly & filled very well with meat, cheese, & green chiles, as if needed with the alien sauce. The extra over-easy egg on top plays along with the alien theme of the area as if there was a flying saucer on my omelette. Overall for the experience, it was above average and I would return and suggest others to visit. Happy alien sighting! Rating was 3 instead of 4 due to prices a bit above average for breakfast, $22.35 for Alien Omelette with coffee & a non-cash fee added on to...
