am thrilled to finally share my long-overdue review of my visit to Bogati Winery last year. It was my first time there, despite driving by countless times. I had always hesitated to stop because it's located off the highway, and I am quite selective when it comes to wineries. However, I was in for a delightful surprise!
Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the inviting interior, complete with a charming fireplace perfect for cozying up with friends or loved ones. The back of the winery faced a serene pond, offering a calming view that was not as noisy as I had anticipated.
During our tasting at the bar, Jim, our host, was absolutely fantastic! Despite being the only staff member present, he ensured that everyone had an incredible time. The price of $15 for 7 wines was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the wines. My personal favorites were the bold Fat A$$ Red and the exquisite Malbec.
One small suggestion for management - please consider changing the system that allows customers to add tips to their bills. Jim truly deserved every bit of praise!
I am excited to share that I have now visited all three of Jim Bogaty's wineries. In conclusion, never judge a book by its cover - Bogati Winery is definitely worth a visit!
Cheers to unforgettable wine...

If you are coming from the east it is a tight turn so be ready. Came here with a friend on our way to Winchester for a weekend. Warm greetings by Jim made us feel right at home, including dog treats for Beau (dogs allowed was key for us). We enjoyed a glass of wine each sitting on some comfy bench seats out back where it was quieter away from the road. We also shared a charcuterie board. Quite the spread with four cheeses, salami and prosciutto, mixed nuts, olives and a warm baguette (with olive oil and herb to dip). I've star'ed Bogati on Google maps so I can come...
Read moreThe staff here is always so friendly and welcoming. Having worked in the import and domestic wine industry for more 15 years, I can say the quality of the wines being produced at Bogati Bodega is tops. We originally visited them because of their Argentine theme, but continue to return for the wines overall. While this property does not have the picturesque beauty as some Virginia wineries, the tasting room and patio are well appointed, rustic, peaceful and inviting. The small bites menu is great and the wines offer something for everyone, and all with lovely structure and flavors. Definitely one of my favorites...
