Zuko's Pizza Pasta — Restaurant in Rowlett

On 04/29/16, for the first time, I ordered a large pizza and I requested 'Italian sausage and green peppers.'

I took the pizza home and it's not 'Italian sausage', it appeared to be small bits of pre-frozen/already made sausage bites. We did not like the after-taste of the sausages, so I called Zuko's.

I explained to the gentleman, that answered the phone, my dislike and he said, 'one moment let me speak to the manager.' He shouted, to the manager:

'The lady that ordered the large pizza with sausage and green peppers ATE HALF OF IT and wants to return it.'

First of all, NO ONE ATE close to one-third of the pizza. Second of all, when I asked for 'Italian sausage' someone should have said the truth and said, we do not have Italian sausage----what we do have has been precooked/previously frozen, etc.,.

Ramond came to the phone, I explained my dislike and ONLY HE was kind enough to listen and replace it----I asked for a pepperoni pizza.

When I returned the pizza, I told the gentleman (he was bald---I didn't ask for his name) that 'someone' said we ate half of the pizza----he opened the box, saw MORE than 3/4ths was there and shoved the box to a back room---never said a word, and seemed upset.

Ramond gave me the pepperoni pizza, he apologized and told me to have a good evening.

This is lengthy, but I want to say everything that did happen------will I recommend this place? No...but I will said I appreciate Ramond for his professionalism.

This is the place to go if you live near Rowlett for pizza and pasta. O M G - first let me start with one thing and we will move forward. Yes they are cash OR check only. I've read a few reviews about how they need to get with the times. Guess what? They are with the times and they don't want to be nickeled and dime'd to death!

We've been coming here for 15 plus years. The pizza is the best in town, HANDS DOWN! Everything about the pizza is amazing from the first bite to the last. They have XL pizzas too that are so big! Fresh veggies, fresh meats... goodness crust.

Pasta is yummy! We've had a few of them. Chicken w sherry wine, mushrooms, artichokes and garlic was the hit tonight along w the massive lasagna. Wow is all I can say, the red sauce w the lasagna is so ready, not too rich but rich enough... robust flavor is what I would say. AND let's not forget to mention enough for two people... easily!

Ok... so here is the one thing that my hubby and I don't typically do - eat tons of bread. When we go here the garlic rolls are so darn tasty and you have to get a cup of Alfredo - they have roasted garlic and parm at the table so we will doll it up! It doesn't need it however we enjoy it that way. The knots come w red sauce which is great too, you don't need Alfredo - its just our thing!

If you go to eat there instead of pick up or delivery.... it's small, four tables BUT it's worth it. We enjoy the atmosphere and I enjoy watching people fly in there to pick their order up! So many...

Worst experience I've ever had I called the person on the phone was very polite cordial delivery guy was very nice they messed up on the order they were missing a few items when I called and they were hostile about it told me I was only charged for a certain amount even though I repeated the order twice I told him was a mistake they told me they've been doing this for years I was charge different prices from what I was charged on the menu they told me the menu had been the same for 12 years which apparently it's not then they offered to send the food back what he was so hostile and so belligerent that I didn't want the food from them any longer I would not recommend it I explained to them that it was my son's birthday and they still were rude about it and told me they know their job they know they're corner although father had been a chef for over 40 years you never know who you're talkin to and you can't be rude to somebody before you cook their food and nobody's going to want it and they don't like to admit to their mistakes first time ordering from them last time ordering from them the food is somewhat okay the integrity of the...
