Booty's Fish House — Restaurant in Royston

We drove over an hour to try this for the first time. There were 5 of us. First the buffet was about 10ft long and only one side of the buffet that you can walk down. The buffet looked longer in the pictures. The food was hot & fresh. There was cole slaw, potato salad, tartar sauce, butter, biscuits, hush puppies, ocra, corn nuggets, fried chicken, chicken strips, Brunswick stew, country ham, flounder, cat fish nuggets, regular cat fish. There was no mayonnaise. Dessert was soft serve ice cream and apple cobbler and peach cobbler the cobbler was a 2/10. Drink options soda, water, tea and coffee. We had a waitress who came to our table and took our drink order. She was 10/10 fantastic! There were white buckets on the table, we all thought it was a bone bucket but the waitress let us know we were to clean our plates into the buckets when we finished our plates.. there is small touches that could truly beef up this restaurant. For example, open both sides of the buffet & hire a bus boy. Something this simple would help people through the line quicker. We just didnt think the money equaled...

We normally LOVE to go to this place...HOWEVER last night the lady at front checking folks in was so RUDE... they didnt open the doors on time (says 4:30 but didnt open until 4:50) and folks were standing in line forever. I am on crutches from a recent injury not supposed to be standing, my mother in law has to walk with a cane and cant stand for long periods of time and another gentlemen was using a walker. We walked in the exit door to go sit down and she yelled at us that we needed to stay in line and come thru correctly! We were not planning to not pay as we had folks standing in line to pay. We simply needed to sit down... if you want folks to come thru the line then open the doors on time and not be so rude.... geez lady you also didnt have to yell this at us. If l had not been eating with inlaws l would have left... dont try to accuse of us stealing!!! You were rude and very obnoxious. Food was great and the server was excellent but could use nicer folks in the front. Going to ruin your business fast with rude folks like...

Ate here for the first time last night. They were already out of food when we got there at 7pm. The only thing in the buffet that was good was the boneless catfish. The other food was not good, even the green beans. One of my daughters did not want to eat so we paid for three buffets. When my daughter ask if she could get a drink she was told no b/c she didn’t get the buffet so my mom went to the register to ask if she could buy just a drink for her. The woman ,whom I’m assuming is the owner, told her she seen my other daughter eat a fry off of her plate and that she would have to charge her for a buffet if they share food. But we had already paid for her, she just hadn’t fixed her plate yet. The rest of the time we were there the lady watched us like my daughter was trying to sneak food. Very rude and annoying. I’ve never been to a place that would treat customers such a way. I will never come back and I honestly do not see how this place is so popular. Over priced, bad food and bad service....
