Crazees — Restaurant in Rumson

Literally the worst ice cream parlor I have ever been too. The staff was unfriendly, rude and clueless. Went in for an ice cream cake and none of them knew which were which or what they had. They didn't say hello or greet anyone that came in the door. They didn't know how much the cake cost nor was it posted anywhere. The kicker of it all was that they didn't take a credit or debit card and the two people helping me, yes it took two even with a line out the door, didn't offer any alternatives when I said I only had $32 in cash. I had to ask about an ATM and then they offered that there was one next door. The entire process took far too long and it didn't help that there were only a bunch of young ignorant kids working. Also their bathroom was a mess! I wished I had taken a picture. I thought I was going to a nice, family-owned, local place; turns out I would have been better off going to Dairy Queen or Carvel. This place definitely deserves five stars, not even being lazy about it. Hands down the best ice cream in Monmouth County, absolutely blows any chain / franchise out of the water.

Prices are extremely reasonable in comparison to the awesome quality. They charge about half as much as a place like Cold Stone and the taste is even better.

And the clientele there is all great as well as the people who work there. All clean, well-mattered, well spoken and intelligent people through...

Stopped here on my way back up north. They have a wide variety of flavors as well as a couple of seasonal options. It's a very nice bench or outside the patio area that's comfortable and you can sit outside and enjoy your ice cream best of all they don't allow smoking anywhere on the property!
