Skips Dairy Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Rush Township

My experience at this place has been one I will unfortunately never forgot. After searching for a local place to get some ice cream while passing through we decided to stop. I read some previous reviews and will agree with some issues recently. The customer service here is terrible. If you are going to treat your employees in a way which they have no passion for their work then maybe at least only offer quality products. We ordered a strawberry milkshake with cheesecake. I was so surprised to receive a strawberry FLAVORED milkshake with cheesecake pieces. It was so artificial tasting. How can you put the name dairy bar in your name and my strawberry milkshake is vanilla base with flavor added? It was about $6 for the milkshake. After some deliberation we realized we may have not specified we wanted the REAL ice cream when ordering🤣. I was very disappointed but saw the flaw in our ways. So back again to order a new one. This time I am going to with a hard ice cream (homemade hopefully). I chose a chocolate with cheesecake again, homemade is a little more at around $7.50. When I tell you they handed me a glass of MILK. I could have dunked my cookies in it as a snack. This time I could not swallow my own pride. You have sold me first a cheap alternative to a strawberry milkshake for the price of one with fresh ingredients. Followed by a cup of MILK with a topping of chocolate ice cream. I returned and requested if I could have my money returned as I could see this was not the business I had hoped it would be. Anyway, feel free to learn from my experiences. If you want quality go somewhere else. And lastly I will say again, if you are running a business, pay your employees well and offer them resources to SUCCEED in running...

The staff is very friendly however it seems like they need to offer higher pay since it took a while for our food to come out. It seemed like there were only two girls working and doing their best. The food took a while to come out vut was well made

This place is not alternative friendly moslty because of the pateons. My boyfriend and I pretty much got stared at the entire time we were waiting for out food and it was extremely uncomfortable and i did not feel safe.

I probably wont be back which is a shame because they have banana soft serve and i really wanted to try it.

I know its on the way to the mahoning for a lot of people but wont recommend it them with how some of the pateons act . Which i know isnt the buissness fault but everyone deserves to be comfortable eating at a restaurant regardless of how many...

They tried and it was clean. My sugar cone teaberry hard ice cream came upsidedown in a cup with a spoon. It was too soft to stay in the cone? So the cone doesnt allow room for the plastic spoon to attempt scooping the stuff out of the cup. Bad enough its a cheap flexible spoon that bends on contact. So now i had to remove the cone and sit it on a napkin. A real mess that i just threw the entire thing away.

Wifes hard ice cream didnt last 2 seconds , didnt make it away from it being handed to her and it flopped out of the cone and onto the counter. Next attempt was just a scoop of ice cream in a cup. Ah my cone please? OK theres your cone.

My dog had a very good time otherwise I would have given a 1 star. Nice cup of ice cream with i believe a Carmel topping and a dog biscuit.
