The good: Staff is friendly. Service was fast. The place seemed clean. Food was hot. The bad: They need some decorations or work towards improving atmosphere. Sodas are one can, no refills. No sauce came with Rangoons and had to get my own plates from the buffet. Fried rice was tasteless. General Tso Chef's special had no spice, tasted identical to Sesame chicken, and neither had any special garnishes or veggies. We paid $46 for the Rangoon appetizer, 2 entrees and drinks for a very average meal.

Fresh Chinese food. Great little place in Rushville at the town square. I eat here every time I go thru these parts.

OK, so, my fiance was in Rushville, IL and I had a hankering for some Chinese food. He was getting ready to leave town and I looked up the local place, The Great Wall. It was right around 10AM at that time. I saw that the normal hours stated they open at 1030AM. I then went to their facebook page and saw that due to COVID they were open at 11AM. There was no way he could wait around in town for that long, we are on thirds and needed to get him home, so we could eat, and get to bed soon. Hoping that maybe the hours were listed wrong, I messaged them on Facebook. They wrote back stating that they were in the restaurant, and that if we placed our order they would open early and give us our food when he got there. They were SO friendly! I'm talking some of the best customer service I've had in a LONG time!!! It took them about 10 minutes, it was about 1030AM by that time, after we placed our order and my fiance was in there picking it up and bringing it home. It was delicious! If I have any 'criticism' for them it would be that the sweet and sour sauce was a bit more sour then my taste buds like, but that's more of a personal preference than anything. And that it would have been an added bonus to have some peas, bean sprouts, and other veg in the beef fried rice. But the rice was delicious even without them! I was so happy to get my Chinese food that I thought was a lost cause, and can't thank them enough for being so kind to us and opening early! We had ordered two sweet and sour chicken meals, two pork egg rolls, and an order of...

Good Chinese food. The quality has improved over my first couple of visits. Portions are now larger and there is a greater assortment of vegetables in the meals. The prices are more than reasonable. I had the Hunan Beef Combination which came with a generous portion of fried rice, three crab rangoon, and one egg roll for $8.55. Most Chinese restaurant's combination plates come with one egg roll and no crab rangoon for the same price so this represents an excellent value. The service is quick and friendly. Because of the above improvements I have changed my previous three star rating to a four. I might suggest a change in the tea. When you order tea you receive a Lipton tea bag in a styrofoam cup of hot water. It would be better and more authentic Chinese to have pre-brewed green...
